None of this breaking a stereotype. We live in the age of Abby Steiners and Femke Bols. White people can run sprints. The best miler in the US and perhaps the world can be Black and a natural born citizen. None of this is new. However, simply put, its a new era of track and field and I love it. Anything is possible. Why can't we all leave it at that?
That’s true, but his parents are Ethiopian, not African American
He's black and a natural born citizen like I said. I didn't say his parents were African American but that doesn't matter at all. Yeah his parents are immigrants but he was born here and went to school here. He is 100 percent American as anyone else. End of story.
And remember Dafne Schippers? She was among the medalist every time she raced... Her time at the top was only like 4-8 years ago, if I remember correctly. This is not totally new in women's sprinting.
It is not racist to get excited to see "underdogs" racing in non-traditional events. Remember the Jamaican 5000m star, Kemoy Campbell? He was awesome and yes, unexpected. It is normal and okay to get excited when uncommon things happen in sport (Lin-sanity? Tiger? The Williams Sisters? Steve Nash as MVP! We love that stuff!)

Ethiopia is in Africa
But African-Americans have a long, rich, and unique cultural experience in this country going back for hundreds of years. That does not automatically mean that just because someone is from Africa, they identify with those centuries of culture and history. Nuguse's family might feel like African-Americans or they might just feel like Africans who have moved to America. That is up to them. But one does not automatically include the other.
Mia Brahe-Pedersen is pretty darn fast, having run 11.25 and 22.95 as a sophomore and making the finals at World Jrs (4th in 200, 7thin 100) and recently ran 22.89.

Notice you could only cite white females as good sprinters. This bolsters my assertion that white females are better athletes than white males.
Looking over the entry list for the 2 HS “Nationals” next week I see MBP will be at the Armory for the Nike Indoor Nationals in 60 & 200 but Shawnti Jackson is at New Balance Indoor Nationals in Boston along with the 2 Montverde Academy stars. Too bad we don’t get all 4 in the same meet.
Let’s also matchup Sophia Gorriaran, Shawnti Jackson and MBP in a 400. Someone should sign all 3 to a NIL promo deal if each one’s state allows NIL and charge a special streaming fee to cover the NIL. I’d pay $50 to see that race.
Who wins? Most of the time I favor the athlete dropping down but in this case I think I’d go either Jackson or MBP.

Always been white sprinters, the thing is only a few at a time and they rarely win anything, Black spinters running far superior times and winning all the medals.

I really don't know why this site allows race baiting headline posts. Maybe you are just trying to get more traffic but it is BAD traffic and these threads should be deleted.

Color me different if you want, but a the start of races I don't look to see who's legs are what color. The only thing I want to see is which legs cross the line first.
