absolutely embarrassing from the men in that 5k. At least 10 of those runners had PB's better than the winning time including multiple under 13:30 and they couldn't be bothered apparently

3:00 at 1000 8:45 at 3000 oops
What was the fast heat thinking?
So bizarre. Winner of mens 5000 from the slow heat. I guess they're saving themselves for Nats.

not sure if it is significant but Chapman scratched from the 800 in the pentahlon ( she was the NC St 400 m leg on DMR at JDL)
significant - they are keeping her fresh for dmr.
Credit to the slow heat for putting some good times out there.
North Fruadalina State needs to get their act together. Time to cheer for a real team where they know how to run - Syracuse
Now let’s not discredit the first heat, they went out and ran hard. Henry Chapman really threw a wrench into the 5k and screwed over the fast guys by taking it out quick. Something only a top G would do.
unc had 5 guys in that race. How do you not ask Will Coogan or John Tatter or someone to make sure it hits a certain pace through 3k. Really poor coaching on top of the racing

I was going to mention poor coaching.
Looks like "a" teams are in dmr
This looks like Penn Relays 2019.
Lewis on 400 for NC st
So no point having Katelyn run the dmr at nationals.

Looks like 10 seconds

58 seconds
Tuohy will have to run 4:19
Tuohy ran 4:23.
4:23 was not enough
even a 4:23 anchor can't win a DMR when you lose 6 seconds to Duke on the 400 leg....
