Okay, let's be honest. If he started as a kid and grew up around football, he would be one of the best in the NFL, and probably at multiple positions. He is an INCREDIBLE athlete. His combination of strength, power, coordination, and flexibility is off the charts ridiculous. He's also got quite a bit of intelligence and that does take you far, even in the NFL. He's the GOAT of shot put for a reason. For my money, he's the best male athlete of the games overall.
However, that's not how his life went. He never played, and for all his physical gifts, it would be pretty hard for him to be competitive at this point. Just look at Jordan, another incredible athlete, who failed in his baseball career, despite possessing all the right tools, simply because he went too long without playing and training competitively. It would be even harder for Crouser.
Instead, he gets to do something he clearly loves, and has made a few million off it so far, plenty to last a lifetime with wise investing and spending. He's also got a master's degree and could easily transition into being a business owner (something I am nearly certain he will do in some fashion after retiring). And he's done all of it without nearly as much physical stress as the NFL induces - especially when it comes to stress on the brain, which he clearly values. Personally, I think he made the right choices.
