That is now a feature.
If you are registered you can edit your post for 15 minutes after you post. You then have 15 minutes to make your edit.
This should help people who make typos, and simple mistakes.

Also behind the scenes we now have a new system for admins to attach messages to posts and threads. So for example, if a thread discusses suicide, we can quickly add mental health resources to a thread. This used to be a very cumbersome process.Related to this, if a thread is getting out of hand or going really off topic, we can warn people that certain types of posts will result in removal and/or ban instead of removing the thread.

Great priority regarding deleting posts & banning rather removing the thread.
