Opioids are an issue because you have an addiction and need help and to get into treatment, whereas Covid you can easily catch just going about your daily life. You don’t catch Covid from having an addiction.
OP--nope opiod deaths are not part of the main agenda.
Every person should have to acknowledge that big pharma pays these mainstream media companies and they in turn plug their agenda. Most people are not aware of that simple fact. Time to wake up.
I'd love to see daily updates on the fentanyl epidemic. Number of overdose cases, deaths, data by county and state, average ages of these deaths, daily press conferences, etc. Heck there's even a vaccine now.
I think society should take it more seriously than COVID because it's killing more young people but it seems like we took COVID 100x more seriously.
Relatively speaking, the opioid "crisis" is far more hysterical than anything that happened with Covid. Fake crisis manufactured to give bored DEA and other drug task force agents something to do. The busting-drug-users business has fallen on hard times since legalization of weed/Edibs.
But anyway, I'm sure the CDC and other government agencies love compiling and displaying the stats you claim to desire. Did you check?
Yes I know about the CDC's extremely limited dashboard.
I don't see anything near the level of Worldometer or that super-detailed Johns Hopkins map of COVID cases not to mention countless state and local dashboards and wastewater sampling graphs and they aren't blasted on news websites 24/7. Covid tracking was an entire industry.
Let's not forget that 61.3% of ALL deaths occur while the person is obese. Therefore, the cause of death is obesity, and it dwarfs all other causes of death. It's the pandemic of pandemics.

It's not "extremely limited."
So you are advocating for even more opioid hysteria? That seems kind of nuts.
Do you read the news? there has been a ton of press for years now on opioid deaths in young people. maybe not as sensationalized as COVID, but still plenty out there. now that most doctors don’t prescribe opioids anymore addicts have turned to illicits like heroin, fentanyl etc. I can’t go a couple days without hearing about rainbow fentanyl, cocaine laced w fentanyl, etc. a few years ago New Jersey was tallying opioid deaths by county and I believe still track this info
The latest craze among addicts is to mix benzodiazepine and horse tranquilizers with fentanyl.
More than 100,000 Americans died of a drug overdose in 2021, the worst year on record. The newest wave of the overdose crisis involves man-made chemicals, in...
I don’t know anyone that died of opioid overdose, so it must not be a problem.
How is that possible?
I know several people who have.
Don't know anyone who has even been in the hospital with Covid.
Do you hear that loud whoosh sound?
That is why I said it. Countless threads on Covid being just the flu because someone doesn’t know anyone personally that died from it. So I must assume that neither are a problem.
Opioid crisis mostly effects poor people. So no one cares.
