His upper body has quite the lean, and I don't think it's the camera angle.
One thing I noticed the other day is that Emma Bates has the same type of arm motion: left arm held in more closely than right, and right arm doing more swing. I don't know if it was just the one video I saw, but the similarity struck me after someone mentioned Fauble's arm swing up above.
I think it's interesting how many will try to paint this as a win. Sure, Fauble will be able to help his wife pay the mortgage now, but he was negotiating from a position of weakness. He has basically been pleading for a deal for a year now and had independently decided to race in Nikes so had indicated his preference to sign a deal that would allow him to keep doing that. I'd assume both him (and recent signee Nell Rojas) signed low base (30-50k) deals with big bonus structures for things that, honestly, Fauble will never sniff.
Honestly, how likely do you think it is Fauble will ever be on the podium at Boston or New York? "Top American" back in 7th or whatever is not really that relevant and worth only a couple Gs max.
I'm a bit torn as I certainly don't think anyone is entitled to a pro contract and I despise how people moan about it as if they are, but I also think Nike is a rapacious entity run by amoral pirates who at the end of the day don't really care about the sport, so I don't like to see them swoop down and take advantage of people like this.

Amoral pirates? Maybe. In fact, probably. And I suppose you could say they’re ‘taking advantage’ of their low level athletes.
But you could also say they’re allowing them to get paid to do what they’d being doing for free anyways.

Right. Don't cry for Fauble, LRC. This seems like a fine fit, probably what he wanted. And someone like Droddy has to feel some envy while stuck in those stiff brick Salomon shoes.
Good on him. But I just wish these athletes who probably took lower offers to sign with Nike than the could have gotten elsewhere (Rojas, D'Amato, Fauble) would just admit they're doing for the shoes. We all know the Nike shoes are worth minutes over a marathon but none of these people will come out and say it, they all just go with the line "they let me train better". It's garbage. The shoes make you more efficient so you can run at a given pace for longer. We know marathoners work and train hard, but the shoes count, and the fact people are waiting for an offer from Nike - even going unsponsored until they get it - tells you all you need to know

Neither of the winners today were Nike. It certainly seems like nearly every other brand has caught-up. I mean, FFS, Lokedi won wearing under armor.
