AJ Acosta was particularly open and accessible if you were genuine and asked him about training at Oregon.
I don't know exactly how AlSal developed Rupp. But I do know from experience, if you want to be a great butcher, you need to have a sharp knife. Did AlSal know how to sharpen Rupps"knife", without breaking the rules? Everyone has their own opinion wether he did or didn't.

I wouldn't be surprised if G. Rupp was the most proud of his Catholic Confirmation Medal, otherwise known as "The Order of the Holy Sepulcher" over any other medal he has ever won. You don't win the "The Order of the Holy Sepulcher", by just finishing first in a race. There is much more to it than that.

The problem with safesport is that it isn't a courtroom or a grand jury, so anyone can say what they want with relative impunity (and everyone knows that) - investigation? seriously - there isn't any risk of perjury. Do people lie? - lots of them (a woman scorned, etc.). Call me cynical but after the Trump crap with a stolen election and all those who believe him regardless of "proof", then it appears that "truth" in America is far more variable than it should be, so why would I think that safesport has a moral fiber distinct from the former President. They aren't beholden to anyone, and likely have their own axes to grind - who is their oversight? In fact, they sound far more like Kafka's "The Trial".
Having said that, any coach that massages athletes in this day and age deserves the fallout for being so stupid or arrogant to put themselves in that position. I would have banned Alberto for simply being stupid enough to move Mary Cain up to 3000m at World Junior after running 1.59.5 as a HS Junior. Talk about giving up on an athlete - she should have been pissed at him - he ruined her running career.

You’re aware that Salazar was already banned for four years before the sexual assault ban, right?
drugs aside, if there's one thing i like about salazar, it's that he's not some old boomer who uses old school thinking to make his runners go fast. at least he takes advantage of modern day technology. he adapts to the new world.
