Aren't you from the UK? Someone said you were a ginger-haired person who was from England, who pretends to be Kenyan because you were privileged enough to be born overseas and move back - rich family working in high up places. Is this true or not? I don't want to know what county or town you're from or any other personal details, but when you're across the board purporting to be a Kenyan athlete and have spent most of your life elsewhere - IF that's true it's pretty disingenuous. If it's not true then someone is slandering you.
This was pure fabrication from one of the most pathological posters this board has ever seen.
Said by somebody who has literally spent over 1000 hours (minimum) here devoted to arguing that peds don't work, to derailing thread after thread that seriously discusses the doping problem in athletics, who has defended East German coaches feeding children illegal substances etc etc.
That's pathalogical, unless of course you are being paid for it all.
All of Europe is doomed. Not enough energy to make it through the winter without freezing, not enough energy to be affordable to keep industry running, not enough energy to produce the fertiziler for farm planting next zear (starvation). Even if they wanted to ditch the USA and switch to a pro Russian foreign policy, now it is too late, too late even if Nordstream 1 and 2 hadn't just been damaged, even if the gas started flowing today, the collapse is already baked in.

The difference is that I resort to facts, rather than inventing pure fabrications.
I don't argue that "PEDs don't work". That is one of many pure fabrications. It would be nonsense to refute what is essentially a meaningless tautology by definition and qualification.
I have never defended East German coaches feeding children illegal substances. I did question Coevett's claim of "potentially lethal", a nonsense claim directly contradicting his own sources. That seems like a pure fabrication that only Coevett would be motivated to fabricate.

The young 800-meter runner didn't ask any more questions because she trusted her coach. The parents, too, who are ambitious and proud of their daughter's talent, initially trusted the trainer and did nothing for a long time. They only acted when their daughter developed heart disease after a virus infection and when doctors warned her parents about the dangers of the pills and ampoules. In February 2008, Jessica's father reported to coach Bernd Dießner. On ZDF, the father explained that "after the competitions, everyone had to open their drinking bottle, open an ampoule and pour the stuff in."
OK, so you have no problem with a former GDR coach feeding a 13 year old with heart disease illegal substances to improve her performance. Glad we have finally cleared that up.

The UK has had multiple elections since to avoid this disaster (2015, 2017, 2019) but would rather have stagnant wages for 15 years instead of electing the Labour party because it's leaders can't eat sandwiches normally and wear wonky glasses.
Their last leader was a proven racist anti semitic communist.
Says who? You want to stop reading the right wing press, many owned by supporters of Israel and once he had visited Gaza the knives were out for him.

I don't think any coach from any country should be feeding any athlete of any age, diseased or not, any illegal substances. I would never condone or defend breaking German law. Looks like he was tried and convicted and fined 4,500 Euros. I surely don't have any problem with his being convicted in court for breaking German law.
What I do recall is that you said at the time "potentially lethal PEDs", while the very article you just linked again says "keine Dopingmittel waren", or "were not doping substances", and does not say "performance enhancing" nor "potentially lethal".

Here's my salary increases in the UK as an experienced, degree qualified FPGA engineer:
2022: 6% (due to the Union trying to get more, this pay rise was delayed 6 months, resulting in me paying more tax on it as arrived in one payment) l. Inflation is currently around 10%.
2021: 2%
2020: 1%
2019: 0.75%
2018: 0.5%
2017: 0.25%
2016: 0%
2015: 0%
2014: 0.25%
2013: 0.25%
2012: 0.25%
2011: 0.5%
2010: 0.5%
I changed employers in 2018 for a slight pay increase. I spend around 10% of my salary commuting to work. That is not tax deductible.
My current and former employers struggle to recruit engineers like me and generally resort to taking on less experienced workers to pay less, which often diesnt work out very well. Less experienced workers allow mediocre managers to have an easy life though.
I have hit the ceiling salary in my current job, there is no progression unless I go into management, and even then its only a few thousand pounds higher.
I earn £58,000 per year and am currently working a 3 month notice period as I have a job offer (including via arrangements) in another European country. I lose nearly 50% on tax for any pay rise I receive, so there's little point in professing and having more stress anyway.
The problem in the UK is that worker productivity is low and there is a low tax base, while benefits are generous. Disabled people, for instance, can get free cars here, replaced every 3rd year. It's become politically impossible to lower taxes as too many votes would be lost.
In real terms, my salary has dropped considerably over 12 years and my tax burden has increased. Public services continue to reduce. I'm glad to be leaving the UK as the impression I have is that my country is run for the benefit of the do called elite and for the benefit class who have all day to spend whining on social media about how poor they are. There's very little for hard working middle class people here, and I don't blame young people for people de-motivated to work hard.
Scottish independence seems unlikely - it would be likely Brexit on steroids. As much as Scots dislike the English, I don't think they will choose to plunge themselves into crisis.
Northern Ireland joining the Republic seems much more plausible.
Sorry, WRONG. The Scots would be much more well placed to be independent AND part of the EU. A tiny Scotland living under the umbrella of the EU is a far better place than England/Wales on its own.
To remove oneself from the largest, most prosperous and (generally) stable block outside of the US and (maybe) China is suicidal. I cannot believe that fear of brown skinned immigration caused Brits to vote to destroy themselves.
Of course, I've also been stunned as an American to see that the US identity (land of immigrants, open, tolerant, progressive, etc) I was taught in school and university is pure mirage, and that the average America is every bit as racist, hateful and bigoted as any Brit or European.
I'm Scottish and live in Scotland. This is the sort of nonsense spouted by the Nationalist movement in Scotland. They basically spam social media, because most of them have too much time on their hands, and pedal myths that an independent Scotland would easily join the EU. In reality, the EU is very unlikely to want an independent Scotland because it would cost them too much money. The most recent expansion - to allow the Eastern European countries to join - cost far too much money for the main net contributing counties to the EU but was tolerated because it provided a cheap migrant workforce which could be paid their home country rates under the Posting of Workers Directive, and it opened up new markets. It also allowed a strategic buffer zone between Russia/Putin's influence and western Europe.
Scotland provides none of that. Its main market for goods is the rest of the UK, and thats where most of its outside supplies come through. It isn't going to provide much of a cheap migrant workforce - most of us who are any good have got/are getting out and too many Scots are scared to move anywhere else. I used to work in the oil industry in Scotland (before it self-combusted) and recently an overseas colleague told me that he couldn't get a single one of his colleagues in the Scottish office to actually come into the office to meet with him when he was in Scotland. They were all still working from home and wouldn't/couldn't make the effort. Sadly, that is all too typical of much of the Scottish workforce, although the 2 big cities are a bit better.
The SNP have destroyed the oil industry and are attempting to replace it with renewables, which means destroying the tourist industry by installing wind farms all over the scenic parts. They go on about wind and wave, as if no other part of the world has similar resources. In reality what is happening is that a few people are profiting from the renewables installation but its a short term gain unlikely to provide enough energy/jobs/income to replace the oil and other industries that have been lost over the years (eg fishing, mining). Hence there are a lot of unemployed Scots who don't contribute fiscally. And from what I see they are the ones supporting Scottish independence.
The other group who support it are the "new Scottish elite" - politicians, quango post holders, large landowners, and they seem to want to act like the former large scale landowners of the past, carving up Scotland for themselves. Added to that, the radical woke agenda employed by the SNP, which is subject to increasing media ridicule.
I'm not actually against Scottish independence to be fair - I think it would be quite amusing to watch from the sidelines, but I wouldn't want to live in a small, non-Scandinavian country with a poor work ethic and low tax base.
'You can still buy a nice flat or house in a lot of areas for under 100K'
Where the Outer Herbides!
A quick search reveals thousands of properties on Right Move under 100k. But basically, north east England, Newcastle area, Portsmouth way, parts of Essex, and parts of central Scotland/Glasgow/other parts of Scotland.
The trouble with the Scottish islands is that there are no jobs and the ferry service has been beset by problems in recent years as the replacement ferries ordered by the Scottish Government are years late.
Everyone can't move to the North East or Scotland. If properties are cheap its usually where there are few decent jobs. Try finding a house for under 100k in Greater Manchester which is also up North. For the whole of the South East forget it.
The shortest term for a prime minister in Britain's 300-year democratic history, what a disgrace.
She's gone because the Tories, just like the rethuglicans here, have NO ideas other than to reward the Oligarchs and f-ck the rest of society. Now there are calls to bring goofball Boris back to 10 Downing St. What a bunch of complete fools. We should all hope that there is a general election SOON and that Labour comes back into power. The Oligarchs will hate it, as will the hate-filled right wingers and trash rural folk who hate brown-skinned people, but right wingers all over the world have NO ideas other than pursuit of their own power, accumulating wealth into the hands of the already-powerful and running the rest of us into a ditch to drop dead.
Tories, just like right-wingers everywhere; morally bankrupt and bereft of ideas and solutions to problems facing their citizens. All sloganeering and catch phrases, no meat, no morality, no goodness, no humanity. Vile creatures all.
Hopefully, the next thing to happen once Labour comes back into power is that the Brits will hold another national referendum, which will bring a large majority vote to REJOIN THE EU. Those events should coincide with American voters waking from their insane right wing fever dream to drop right wing rethuglicans like the foul, racist frauds they have always been.
Couple these events with a drive of Vlad out of democratic Ukraine and freedom and democracy might actually stand a chance in this world.
