Tuohy and henes will be right there with 2 to go... I think it'll be a lot like the indoor NCAA 5K... 4 to 6 runners making a move! Can 2e get top 3 yes... Will she?
How about a prediction? You are quick to bully others who don't follow the title of threads but you are quick to deviate. I realize that you would never go that far. Instead just keep saying how good Tuohy is and then claim that you are amazed when she runs a decent time. But never actually say anything so that you can't be wrong. How is that contributing to the interest in the sport? It will be hot. I think she runs about 15:30 and is nowhere near qualifying. It won't be a positive experience.
Tuohy won't be there at that point of the race. Henes will be close, probably finishing about 5th. Tuohy won't be on screen if you are watching from home.
katelyn tuohy might not need to get the world standard 15:10 to qualify for worlds
if she finishes inside top 3 without the standard, she will most likely still be able to join Team USA because she ranks 4th in the U.S. in the 5000m per world athletics
idk if she has better chances in a sit and kick or a fast pace, hopefully she feels good and has good luck
it wont be easy, the field is so strong and temperatures are high af
I'm pretty sure that if you don't have the standard it goes by world rankings
I don't think it goes by country rankings I think it goes by where you ranked in the world... If you're ranked high enough in the world you can get admitted without having the standard
Also pretty sure it just goes by your ranking in whatever event you're trying to qualify for so... I think it goes by your fastest 5K time in this case
Anyway I'd imagine she wants to stop training after this race no matter what happens... I mean obviously I have no idea but I'm just guessing that at some point she'd want to take a break...
Cranny has been dealing with injuries. Shweizer is running the 1500 but will still be the favorite. Kelati doesn't seem to run great in these big races and isn't that fast of a kicker... The rest of the field is kind of the same there is some really fast women but none of them are on another level... If training is going really well for her and Henes I don't think it's crazy that they could compete...
Also after schweitzer 2e probably has the best closing speed of anyone in this race...

u recap katelyn's past six months and its pretty tiring

wait, u mean katelyn being at #4 in the U.S. ranking doesnt mean shes the fourth american woman in the 5000m world ranking?
Obviously she's not number four because there's like 10 women who have faster times... That seems like some BS stat someone made up it's not legit... Anyway who cares she probably doesn't want to run another race in a month anyway so let's just enjoy the fact that she's going to win and be the US champion... She'll let one of the other women have her spot

its from the official site of world athletics, ncaa wins seem to have more points than some other meets, but it doesnt really matter as u say, pretty sure her goal this outdoor season was just to win an ncaa title
her season has been extended so much already and to be honest she doesnt even look like shes actually enjoying it as much as the ncaa championships because she doesnt have her team/friends with her, shes been hanging out w pros that are much older than her,, or maybe thats just her RBF
