7:42low through 3000m! Kejelcha goes right by Rayner with Krop and now Kimeli in tow. Ahmed in no man's land in 4th.
Looks like an EXACT replica of Brussels '18. 9:43 with 1200m to go. Kejelcha doing the hard work in this 4th k

Kimeli was the pacer during the WR of Cheptegei in Monaco in 2020. Actually, he did 12:51 that day. Not surprising to see him doing faster after that.
He just became the 7th faster man of all time on 5,000m and Krop is 9th, with the exact same time as Kejelcha did in Brussels.

With the Kenyans back in contention the 5k looks stupid loaded for Worlds. Cheptegei, Kiplimo, Jakob, Barega (if allowed to double), Kejelcha, Krop, Kimeli, Ahmed, (Fisher), Edris and many more… juicy field.
