She is not going to admit anything or implicate anyone. I personally do not think any top pro distance runner is clean. That aside, the issue here is guilt by association due to Houlihan's anti-doping ban. Whether or not the whole team doped, one of their members got caught and that cast a shadow on the whole team.

I don't think Jerry does interviews. I think it would take a lot to get him to speak. I have asked him for 10 years. At first it was a "no" to a lifestyle interview. He has simply ghosted since. Additionally, once an athlete joins BTC, they mostly seem to stop communicating. It may be a policy.

For a sport that is absolutely starving for fans (except for at Words and Olympics and pockets within Europe), the communication is quite poor.

I had an easier time at a NHL team camp mixing with players, camera in hand, as well as at the World junior hockey championships and the Toronto Raptors training camps.

Dumb comparison. Pulisic helps Chelsea win games as a team. Chelsea can compete for team championships with Pulisic’s help. BTC doesn’t compete in any duel meets as a team, and there are no team championships for them to win. There is no comparable track team league to the Premier League.

International competition medals matter most in our sport. They are what every top tier athlete trains for. How would USA track fans feel if a Schumacher-coached GDS had beaten out Elle Purrier St. Pierre for the bronze medal in the women’s 1500 at last summer’s Olympics?

How will USA track fans feel if Ollie Hoare finishes just ahead of Cole Hocker for the bronze medal in the men’s 1500 at this year’s world championships? I know how I’ll feel: angry that Ritz betrayed his country!

Was she upset about the attention the ban brought to the team or was she upset Shelby was doping or that she thinks she was falsely banned? She has took her running to the next level at BTC. I am surprised she is leaving. I really didn't think she had it in her to run as fast she did over the last year.

These clubs are privately run and funded. They don't belong to the American public.

Maybe Jerry himself but in recent months I've heard hours of long-form content from Jerry's prized possession (aka Grant Fisher), and another hour from Cranny. If Jerry were that strict he would never allow the Half Step podcast.

And nothing specific but I feel like I'm quite familiar with Centro/Moh/Frerichs personalities so it's not like they're hiding. I think it's just that if an athlete doesn't want to keep a public profile they aren't pushed to, so the shyer ones can totally disappear.

I would also straight up ask GDS this question point blank: Did the BTC's open support of Shelby make you feel uncomfortable to associate with them in the long run or in any way? If Shelby's situation was a distraction, I am very interested in how she felt about her how fellow club members made how look or be perceived.

Btw get over it. BTC was dirty. Hardly unique in this sport. You could start with Houlihan going from a lifetime 5000 PR of 15:49 through her entire college career to 15:06 a year later after joining BTC. Clean living? Hard work? One of the usual bs excuses? It was PEDs. Duh. The entire team has gains like that. You think Houlihan and Schweizer for example could run 14:25 in the 5000 clean? We were not born yesterday.

You don't control the narrative with an interview. Certainly a lifestyle interview isn't investigative. When he declared that he never heard of nandralone in the virtual media scrum that I was invited to, I was surprised at how unfamiliar he looked.....so, he certainly doesn't seem to generally talk to the media....

It seems very clear that this is because of the ongoing support BTC is providing to Houlihan. The group has refused to draw a line under the case and move on. The denials and presence of Houlihan means that the group can't move on, they have to live with it. It's not just insinuations, they literally have a convicted doper following the group around and seemingly still getting coached by BTC coaches.

Any athlete that has integrity should leave the group if they continue to maintain ties with Houlihan. A statement needs to be made and it's obvious that the coaches are comfortable having a doper circulating around the group.
