Posters implying Putin is insane are not helpful posts. Certainly Putin does not see the world as does Biden. I don't see the world as does Biden in many respects. Today, this morning in U.S., it was publicly announced, Poland will give Ukraine some of Poland's planes. U.S. continues to escalate. No matter how many planes Poland gives Ukraine, it will not equal the number of planes Russia will be able to place in Ukraine. Biden is encouraging Ukraine's President Z to continue to subject his people to a massive assault. Up until now, Putin/Russia have treated the people of Ukraine as 1st cousins. Russia's capacity to escalate is significant. Will Ukraine survive 4 or 5 more months now with the planes from Poland? Before the planes, 1 or 2 months. How many more will die for Biden's pride and M.I.C. pushing Biden?

Nice personal attack. You do know victory by Ukraine is not a 48 latitude type cease fire as has been the case in Korea since circa 1953. You do know victory by Ukraine means President Z planting Ukrainian flag in Moscow. Since you and I know it is impossible for President Z to plant Ukrainian flag in Moscow, be reasonable. What are you going to prove by fighting Russia for 4 or 5 more months, lose and over one million Ukrainians die? Do you think of risk analysis in regarding military operations? I remember the air raid sirens being tested at noon. I always thought it would be smart of the USSR to attack at noon since we would all think it was just a test.
What would happen today? I assume we would all get alerts on our phones. I'm not sure many Americans under 60 have heard an air raid siren and may wonder what it is if activated. Hopefully, we don't find out

I was age 11 at the time of the Cuban missile crisis. The current situation is not as scary for Americans. Today, it is Russia taking on Ukraine, not the Soviet Union interacting directly with the U.S. For that reason, it is not as scary for the U.S. For Ukraine, it is obviously a different situation.

I lived in Del City, a suburb of Oklahoma City, back then. We had a bomb shelter in my backyard. We lived in a typical suburban neighborhood. Many neighbors also had them.

It is a reasonable way to avoid unnecessary bloodshed and very likely what will happen… within a couple of weeks.
Then Russia will have Ukraine to drag them down… while the US has Iraq and so many other places, but at least not Afghanistan.
