Being black is not a "disability" I'm so over with black, black, black. If you never saw color in another's skin you sure would now. This constant influx of black, black black is helping no one. Comparing yourself to another being an amputee or having gone through chemotherapy and you actually feel that you can compare yourself to that has made me boycott watching the Olympics altogether.

And to not to be totally pissed at being used is beyond comprehension.

This commercial is blatantly racist and a slam against blacks in general. It is an insult to the race making blacks seem inferior to whites. What a ridiculous commercial...it accomplishes nothing , but negativity.

There is a substantial and significant difference between your first demented statement:

and you second statement:

“African-Americans are literally worse off today than in 1960 when Democrats started trying to help them.”

It would appear that the Thorazine kicked in and caused you to reevaluate how bananas your first statement was, so you tried to recover some outward appearance of normality, and pretended you were asserting the second.

That’s called changing your tune, even if it’s pharmaceutically enabled.

Nobody coming on here with "outrage" over how "insulting" this commercial is would have a problem if that commercial instead featured klansmen and skinheads marching in Charlottesville, this thread would not exist.

I think the people who are shaming white people in these replies for pointing out this commercial are forgetting that the commercial literally says "only african american surrounded by non-African americans."

Even though they would be the only AMERICAN representing there, black or not. They just framed them next to other Europeans for some weird white guilt agenda.

I guess they just assume their audience is too ignorant to remember that there are more than 2 races in the world.

Not to mention participation in the Olympics is determined by merit.. not affirmative action..

dude - "enough" - very VERY well said. i boycott Big Brother for the same reason. the host (Julie Chen), not only tolerates, but ENCOURAGES alliances based on nothing more than the color of skin. "if you're black, you're in, and we will systematically eliminate all non-black people, but if THEY even NOMINATE two black people, we will cry RACISM and go crying to the media"

my only consolation, as a lifelong Big Brother fan, all the way back to season 1, is that their ratings are in the toilet. and rightfully so..

let me say it again - they cast 50% black and 50% white (YUP, WE'RE BRINGING BACK QUOTAS NOW) . And they DON'T EXPECT race based alliances?!?!? seems to me they are PITTING black versus white. encouraging it. but NOT if a white HOH nominates two black houseguests. THAT'S deemed racist by Julie Chen and america. but when black HOH nominates, and eliminates WHITE houseguests, it's not only tolerated, but encouraged. And they go into overdrive to tell us "why it's ok"

gee. i WONDER if any white contestant will win ever again. with THOSE rules. Black contestants can OPENLY talk about "getting the whites out" based on nothing other than "not being black". But if the shoe was on the other foot, all we'd hear is "RACISM".
