I was never scared of covid. But I do know people my age (around 40) who got reasonably ill from it. So I'd rather not be laid up for a couple weeks or deal with a couple months of exercise intolerance. I got covid last week and it was literally nothing - I suspect partially because it was omicron and partially due to vaccine.

Why fear the jab? Nearly everyone I know is vaccinate(many boosted) and doing just fine nearly a year out.

You ignore Natural Immunity & the fact those who have actually had it have better antibodies than you. Also, if you are unhealthy & have a terrible immune system, you have a much harder time producing antibodies bc your immune system sucks so bad. I wear a seatbelt, it performs a very specific role, yet when I arrive at my destination, I can take it off and go about my business without the seatbelt.

Same with stoplights. As soon as I release my foot from the brake pedal, I go back to my previous status quo. The effect is temporary.

Hell, I can run around my house without a stitch of clothing 24/7. Sure, I get clothed to go out in public. But I can go back to my at home nakedness any time.

With the vaccine, I am being told that I must inject a substance into my veins. A substance that has intended altering effects and doesn't disappear after it has performed its (very limited) function. And the functionality is suspect at best, sort of in a "you're not going to kill yourself in a car accident if you wear a seatbelt, but you may still cause significant damage up and down the freeway" manner.

As someone who watches what they put in their body, drinks 3-4 beers per year, and has never used and recreational or narcotic drugs, I reserve the right to pass on this vaccine. Hell, I was recently prescribed a 10 day supply of Vicodin for a minor surgical procedure. I stuck with ibuprofen for a few days instead, because I'm that picky about what I consume.

I got the J&J back in Aug. Ill probably be considered "unvaxxed" here shortly.

Won't play along with the booster game going forward. There isn't even a booster for J&J.

I get a yearly flu vaccines and an assortment of other vaccines will traveling internationally....because i'm not a low IQ gorilla.
