I'm triple vaxxed and pro-vaxx, for the disease severity reduction vaccines offer. But it's become blatantly obvious the vaccines don't stop, or even slow very much, the spread of COVID, even in places that are 90+% vaxxed. I'm not sure what they're trying to accomplish by continuing a hard line to control something that's uncontrollable. As someone who's pro-vax, I'm starting to wonder if there is some truth to those who say there are ulterior motives at play. There's absolutely no excuse for life not being back to normal, everywhere, at this point. None. Anyone still under "lockdowns" or other hardline measures 2 years into this, has every right to complain.
Of course they do. It’s why so many more children in the south, where vaccination rates are lower, contracted covid over the summer compared to parts of the country with higher vaccination rates. The unvaccinated kids with vaccinated adults around them were less likely to contract than those living with unvaccinated adults.
As the virus evolves, it will probably get more transmissible, but those who have their vaccinations will be less likely to contract it, transmit it and much less likely to get seriously ill from it.
