Everyone said Benjamin would beat Warholm at the Olympics, even though prior races showed otherwise. Why is it that most people consider Warholm the underdog when he has performed consistently every time and has handedly beaten Benjamin every time they have raced one another?

To be clear, I think it is possible for Benjamin to beat Warholm, but I don't know why everybody acts like it's just around the corner when there's nothing hinting at this being the case. I think their races will always be very close and until I see otherwise, I give it 60 - 40 odds in favor of Warholm.

What are you talking about? Warholm was a fairly heavy favorite on all the sports books coming into the Olympics. Some people thought Benjamin could beat him, which was a perfectly valid opinion, but Warholm was still the clear favorite in betting lines which is the best reflection of what “everyone” thinks. Most people discussing it here put Warholm as the favorite as well, you must have a very selective memory.
