Yes.

Sorry, man, but that's such a boomer view on drugs. Cocaine is no more dangerous than weed. Tbh, I've never known anyone have any issues taking cocaine (other than heightening how annoying they are) but I do know someone who suffers from cannabis-induced psychosis and has had to be institutionalized. So, you know, don't tell me weed is harmless.
Not a boomer but....
No, cocaine is far more dangerous than weed. They're not at all equivalent.
There was always likely to be more to this one than meets the eye, anyone who has met Oliver would know that. Low and behold, the Times are now reporting it was a contaminated sample and he has been cleared to compete...
So the other sample had traces? or is it one or the other....

As someone who enjoys all types of drugs, agreed.
Weed is not harmless, but it’s 10x safer than coke.

Normally they test the A sample then if something is found they will test B sample to check. Otherwise B sample is just kept in cold storage.
Looks like rather than this being a story released by AIU or UKADA after testing both samples, it was an internal leak following the A sample result.
Cocaine is a dopamine receptor agonist that causes increased HR, stroke volume, high blood pressure, increased metabolic rate, and an increased pain threshold. Absolutely would be helpful in something like the 800!
So the B sample would be contaminated?
Basically his test was contaminated with another. Both will be free to run....how does this happen in 2021?
T and F is a joke these days as everyone is a doper. They should just race robots instead.
For those that say coke isn't a problem, and just like weed. Meet me, Artie Lange.

Weed is not harmless,
Nobody has ever OD'ed on it.
Or drove crazy or picked fight because of it.
How is weed harmful?
Well it turns out the French have admitted it was a mistake of cross contamination. He's been cleared. He'll be running in Tokyo.
I'm always surprised by how different the general American attitude to Cocaine is to elsewhere.
Cocaine isn't a big deal, more than Marijuana, but not miles away.
You'd think he'd tested for Heroin based on some of the replies in this thread.

You really believe that?

I love weed. I'm a certified stoner. In fact, I'm high right now.
I don't think it's aggressively harmful. I believe I said it wasn't 'harmless'. I'm sure my lungs would agree!
All in all, it's wayyyyyyyy less harmful to your body than tobacco or alcohol.
