EXACTLY. Everyone saying how "boxed in" he was? He had open track ahead with 100 to go & was in perfect position for an Olympic spot. He just wasn't good enough. Period. There are 3 guys better than him at the 1500 in the USA right now. I like Engels too, I was rooting for him.

I bet if you told him before the race that he would be unobstructed & shoulder to shoulder for 3rd place with 100 to go, he would jump on that opportunity. He just had nothing in the tank for some reason.
