You missed this bit
We’ve lived normally for most of the last 18 months, without fear of covid. Have you?
Look at European lockdowns…

Yes Victoria was tough. But that’s not what’s happening now. Funnily enough I ran into a couple in Sydney last year - one Aussie one from USA- and they could not wait to get to Australia. Did the 2 week quarantine. Finished it and so happy to be loving freely.
Victoria aside, the lockdowns are rare and short. Hence it being news now.
People waking up
slowly but waking up
Victoria just emerged from their 4 th hard lockdown and support was not widespread as before
Anyone who can move out of there do that - some overseas other to least affected states
And now Sydney for at least 2 weeks
And then again and again and again
On top of totally miserable vaccine roll out
only blinded fool would praise that kind of response
I don't know who can't wait to get to Australia but I know for sure from official stats 20 000 more people leave than arrive each month permanently because they are totally fed up with that brilliant Australian response

You probably live in a fantasy world
AUstralia is totally paralyzed with fear of covid
What happened in Victoria was the most draconian, harshest longest lockdown not even closely comparable to anything what happened anywhere in Europe or anywhere else
And now Europe is almost vaccinated and back to normal
And Victoria just emerged from their 4 th hard lockdown
Sydney entered lockdown
And we can expect more of this for many years given people like you happy to live like that
The vaccine rollout has been a shambles but I haven't had to wear a mask in the Australian city that I live in since the virus changed our world.
What is happening is Sydney was inevitable as people are still coming into the country as we haven't completely shut the borders. My hope of having a winter trip to the Blue Mountains and Berry are crushed.
Stay safe everyone! Covid isn't going anywhere.

I live in Sydney, and no we’re not.
The rest of your post isn’t coherent enough to warrant a response.

As an Australian I have to say Australian response other than preventing some age care deaths who are already dead anyways is absolutely apalling
We have only 2 % fully vaccinated and vaccine acceptance is low
50% vacination rate won't be achieved for likely another year if ever as lockdown happen when 2-3 cases happen so nobody sees any reason to get vaccinated
Federal government bet everything on Astrazaneca - low effeciency blood clotting vaccine
and now when they pivoted to pfizer they have problem to get supply on short notice
Rolling lockdowns almost nonstop somewhere, And lockdowns are harsh with curfrew and 5 km from home
you can't go anywhere for vacation because when lockdown starts and you're visiting this place you can be locked out of your home without any help
Everyone except government officials and holywood stars banned from leaving the country indefinetely.
If you have dying relative or some other family crisis - bad luck you're imprisoned
Thank you for providing the facts. Very eye opening.

When I see a bad governmental policy I call it out regardless of country.
You will find I am also, to use your own words, “bitter” against North Korea.

Nah. There's something deeper here.
Might be helpful to talk about it.
A guy from NZ has confirmed that things are pretty much normal there and you know there haven't been many cases or deaths throughout, why do you think that you (someone who has never left your home country) could possibly know better?
Is there any evidence that could be offered which would ever lead you to admitting you were wrong? Have you ever admitted you were wrong about anything? Could be worth a try.

So if I, someone who lives in America, confirms everything is perfect in the United States. Does that now make it an absolute fact? If a random find a North Korean says everything is normal in North Korea does that suddenly make it true? Come in, that’s just lazy logic.
Yes, the absent of all lockdowns and Covid restrictions would be a good start. Have you ever heard the expression the pot calling the kettle black?

Have you ever heard the expression "thick as a brick"?

And NZ and Australia are like N Korea? Perhaps you could tell us the name of the institution where you are currently confined?

One can disagree with the policies of various governments to different degrees. For example I disagree with various policies of North Korea, China, New Zealand, Texas and California but not all to the same extent. I feel stronger about certain policy decisions that a government may choose to instate.

But you don't have the facts. The situation in NZ is nothing as you have described. You are "disagreeing" with something that exists only in your imagination.

According to the Australian and Kiwi government COVID lockdowns and restrictions are in fact taking place as we speak.
