I have no sympathy for Jakob possibly losing to suspicious runners.
After his victory in Gateshead, it was shocking to witness that none of the other runners (Foppen, Gressier, Butchart et al.) aside from McDonald from Australia and fellow Spaniard of Moroccan origin Oumaiz shook his hand. He was ignored and cast to oblivion!
Runners and others may think what they want but condemning someone and ostracizing him before knowing the facts and just basing this on suspicion seems to be very sad and unwarranted. This afternoon another runner that I’m in contact with on Instagram and a very good runner, also said that the Spaniard was under suspicion. The runner said they don’t test people who run 1350 but then I pointed out to him that he had ran a 735/3000 during the winter indoor season to which there was no response.
Personally, I think people are jumping the gun much too quickly and condemning this guy, Katir, without any evidence or proof which is really sad. Now, if somewhere down the road this guy is proved to be a doper, May “karma” do it’s logical work on me and give me bad points.

Katir won fair and square, lives in Spain and has presumably been tested multiple times because he ran in the indoor championships in the winter. This type of suspicion is soul destroying.
Is it jealousy or sour grapes because none of it is based on evidence only innuendo.
The more you research about this guy, Katir, and look at his videos and read about him the more you will like him and the more you will trust him. Please take the time to research about him and there’s a good chance you (for those who doubt his credibility) will change your mind and look at him in a very positive light.

Katir moved past year from His coach forever Cristobal Ramirez to Gabi "the magician" Lorente (also coach of Mariano "motorbike" Garcia, 800s athlete).
Solid progression, but few 5000 races (this explain his pover 5000s mark). Till today he was focused on training, training and more training to improve and win these step ahead. Till today he was training with calm and no risk (this explain this "abrupt step ahead"). No magic, no traps, only work. Sierra Nevada Centre is an official Spanish government centre training in altitude and the best European athletes uses everyday, same as Font Romeu (France) or North Italy Alps centres.

Katir is from 1998, 23 years old. He's been training well, unlike college kids, he probably has still got his best years of training and racing ahead of him. Long-life to "El Faraon Katir"
Katir v Kemeli was a terrific race to watch and his emotional response at the end was wonderful.
Deciding that you can't find enjoyment in it because top Spanish runners 20-30 years ago were dopers isn't healthy. I mean, if you know about specific associations or actions that make him untrustworthy then do let rip, but clearly this is just "I've Never Heard Of This Swarthy Foreigner Running A Great Race".
Things change. Although there's of course see a chance Crouser is doping, I choose to believe in him because I don't know of any good reason not to, despite plenty of US throwers in the past having been steroid users.

Why thanks Ilias Fifa? In 2018 he was banned 4 years for links to a doping ring in Barcelona. Together with fellow spanish-moroccans Ayoub Mokthar, Idriss and El Madhi Lahouifi.

There is no deal but this guy, Katir, is under suspicion for no other reason that he has improved his performances and people have not taken into account his change of coach with a different focus in training which accounts for his superb run in Gateshead in tough conditions.
People make conclusions too quickly.

He was brought up in Spain. His parents came over to work in Spain.
In Spain you've gotta be 18 years old(+ some other requirements) to be able to get the Spanish Nationality, in fact, even if he had been born in Spain to Morrocan parents, he would have been Morrocan 'till 18. Spain bases nationality on Ius Sanguinis, unlike the US that is Ius Solis.
