You don't know the rules are how to read them. No rules are broken racing unattached. No one was running under CIF schools. Tons of California kids, parents and coaches raced out of state and were allowed to be there. Where do you think we live? haha

An open race is not youth sports. It’s completely allowed. Just like when a post collegiate runner goes out of state to race. I know a mom that ran the gate river 15k weeks ago. It’s the same thing. You may think they are going around the rules, but everyone is actually following the rules. Don’t get bent Just because you’re mad and in your opinion they should not go. It’s totally fine and allowed.

You're talking about the difference between taking 4;15-4:20 9th graders to sub 9 vs taking 4:43-4:55 9th graders to sub 9:11 at altitude. Both impressive in different ways, but I think Skyridge shows more significant improvement and is harder to do. I think having the amount of 9th graders running fast at Newbury is more impressive. Lex Young ran 14:42 for his first XC race ever in 9th grade! Even Jace Aschbrenner ran 9:30 as a 9th grader.

It’s been so cool to watch Newbury Park come from nothing and become the best cross country team ever. True development and dedication. No one had done or doing what showing us.
2700 ft. isn't "high" altitude. and will only have a minor effect on 2 mile performance, especially to runners acclimated to that height. With that said, 4 runners at sub 9:11 IS impressive, regardless.
I think it is about 6 seconds.
I'd say approximately 5 seconds slower for 2 miles at 2700 ft. elevation than at sea level.

Competitive running doesn't work that way, and you obviously have ZERO knowledge of competitive running or even novice hobby jogger running for that matter. Please list all the NBP runners who year in and year out are so great, not just the past 3 or 4 years and whose last name isn't Young.

Your playing semantics in order to fit your agenda, and so is Coach B. He clearly has his own political views of what he thinks is right or wrong. No argument from me, I don't agree with some of the guidelines/regulations either, but that doesn't mean he can push his beliefs on to others (young athletes he coaches) and their parents and go "Rogue". Also, he's not making any friends among other elite California high school coaches who are following the recommended guidelines and trying their best to train and compete under the current restrictions. Competing unattached doesn't make it right, nor fair to other athletes and coaches. If you don't agree with the state of California then move! Jumping back and forth between states isn't ethical.

All the other elite California coaches were in Arizona or South Carolina racing. You're just angry because you're home wearing a mask alone in your house. Be part of the solution and create opportunities for the kids. You can't tell a family not to leave the state and thats why they went to AZ and SC to race unattached. It's not our fault you can't read the rules or understand them. All rules were followed and you just missed an opportunity. Don't let it happen again.
NP has been dominant in HS running since this coach took over. Getting mad about it doesn't help anyone. It just proves the success Newbury Park continues to have. Just focus on yourself and your athletes and help the kids. That is all anyone can do. Focusing on someone else is not good.
2000 students is a mega school. That would be the largest in my state by several hundred. Thinking about it, honestly, it is embarrassing that high schools with thousands of students aren't pumping out crazy teams. For every thousand students you are bound to have a 4:20 senior.

It helps, but not in Southern California. Kids don't want to run as Soccer is king. I do partly agree with what you're saying, but it's not that easy to get kids out running cross country or distance as one might think. It's not the number, but the attitudes of the kids
