How would you spend unlimited money?

Really? No one has gone with world domination yet? I would buy both political parties. I would buy up the telecoms, the tech giants, the oil and gas companies, etc. Whatever I need for leverage. I would raise an army of very well paid mercenaries in case I encounter any resistance en route to ruling the country.

Once in charge of America, I would curry favor with the people by abolishing billionaires, redistributing most of their wealth (the rules say nothing about being charitable with other people's money), and implementing mandatory three day weekends/32 hr work weeks. I will then use my unlimited monies to cripple or buy-off other foreign powers.

Once in charge of Earth, I will assemble 12 of the world's finest minds (in my opinion, of course)

and undertake a quest to find a Philosopher King to rule in my stead, since I don't want the responsibility of actually running things. (I'm rich, b*tches, I'm gonna smoke blunts and go surfing on a private beach for the rest of my life.) A young Tibetan monk will lead the "One World, Under Pig" Government, advised by my hand-picked Committee of Very Smart People.

Before I abscond into luxurious solitude, I will ensure that Donald Trump has his very own 24/7 reality television show. He will be locked in a cell with a TV and the only thing on will be old SNL sketches that make fun of him.

Apart from the Trump thing, your plan sounds like a Rube Goldberg machine to simply smoke blunts and go surfing. Why go through the trouble of taking over the world? Just go get a nice place near some waves, grow an acre of dank, and live quietly.

Oh yeah! Other than what I mentioned before, I would build the World’s most fantastic Rube Goldberg machine. I would start with something that I can build in a yard at first, but since I will have an unlimited budget, I will quickly escalate to needing much more land and technology. This would probably become my life’s work, and I would probably never be finished until I dropped dead.

What do you mean? Big businesses don't TRY to do that, they DO do that. And it has been very effective for them even though they don't have anything close to infinite money.

I would buy up huge tracts of land in sunny locales. I would pay to build enormous solar arrays on the land, reserving 20% for experimental solar technologies and projects. I would pay to upgrade the transmission grid, and build power storage facilities based on batteries, water reservoirs, or inclined railways. I would buy up all the electric cars and immediately re-sell them for half price, and I would tell the car companies about it so they will ramp up production. Basically, I would personally subsidize our global transition to solar power.

I'd buy up huge numbers of restaurant and retail franchises and immediately triple everybody's wages. I'd hire consultants to help me transform these into dignified workplaces. I'd hire professors to teach various self-improvement classes, which employees would be paid to take if they so choose.

I'd identify the worst school districts in America and build large private schools nearby. I'd pay to get the best teachers, and I'd pay them Goldman Sachs salaries. Tuition would be free for students who attended the public school.

I'd buy all the major shoe companies and fix the issues in the industry. Nike rereleases OG Vics, Vic Elite 1s, and makes a decent new Vic. I'd clean up the corporate side of things in the companies as well. Brooks gets rid of the god awful 12mm drop from the Ghost and other a few other things. Adidas finally updates their spike selection and makes some better road shoes and the list goes on.

I'd also buy up huge tracts of land and make top end indoor and outdoor training/racing facilities, with IAAF Class 1 certified indoor and outdoor tracks, as well as 5k, 8k, and 10k XC courses and plenty of training space and varied terrain with some being at altitude. Most would be open to athletes who need them (no more getting locked out of the high school track if you live near one), but one or two would be reserved for me and elite athletes. I put on meets with world-class runners and pay them a wage that represents their hard work, no more scraping by for anyone who competes for me. World Athletics competitions (Athletics at the Olympics, DL, WC etc.) continue as usual but with me bankrolling the organization, athletes are paid for their hard work, and I also make an effort to bring the sport to the masses by financing influencers such as YouTubers, celebrities, and people who are in a position to bring the sport to a new, wider audience.

I'd fund all schools' athletics programs, build up infrastructure, and try and heal division present in the country. I'd pour money into finding cures for preventable diseases and try and develop life-extension methods. I'd begin efforts to curb overpopulation and pollution and I'd start up colonization efforts for Mars and fund other space exploration. I'd build the largest collection of running gear known to man, and probably do a lot more when I can think of it.

I'd fund club programs that parallel schools' programs. Put the NCAA out of business. Disentangle athletics from education. Start minor leagues in football and basketball and let the top players earn some money.
