I'd add one more thing: in this TX state house red-to-blue flip we saw yesterday, Trump endorsed the R candidate strongly. But he got absolutely crushed in a red district.
It seems the endorsement worked in reverse and trump's endorsement HURT the Republican.
A few more like that, and elected Rs will obviously start moving away from Trump and insist Trump not endorse them.
That will start breaking up the Trump admin also. In politics if you have the stench of a loser, you lose power and cache instantly.
