Jan 6th was obviously way more than a protest. They stormed the US Capitol and injured police officers in the process during a joint session of Congress, meaning that nearly all the elected officials in the entire legislative branch were in the building at the time, in an attempt to disrupt the electoral vote count. It's amazing that only one person was shot and killed there.

Biden ran virtually unopposed in the primary. He later dropped out and endorsed Harris. Biden's delegates then nominated Harris as allowed per Democratic Party rules. Democrat voters have been ecstatic about that, as is evident by Harris' poll numbers and crowds.

I almost always lean heavily towards the "Real Trumper Morans" explanation over "Trolls." But I have to admit that the occasional comment like, "high powered paintball weapons" can give me pause.

The stated purpose of Jan 6th was to stop the certification of the vote and hand Biden power. Whether all the mouth breathers fully knew or not. But most knew they were stopping something. And most knew that they had Trump's full approval to do so.
