Your view is if people try to rob a bank but fail there is no harm no foul.
truml tried a coup. It failed. So he left office. And you are fine with that, making excuses and laughing.
try saving your posts and showing them to your grandkids. They’ll be ashamed.
Your logic is flawed. Would a dictator execute a coup against himself? And with regards to your bank example, a person who fails at robbing a bank is not a bank robber. Challenging election results does not make you a dictator, and if it did, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and Stacey Abrams are all dictators.
yes, you will be prosecuted as a bank robber if you go into a bank with a gun and order them to give you money. It's not going to matter much whether or not you get any money. You are still a bank robber if you fail.
Same with Trump. He is a coupster even though he failed. He executed a multi-pronged coup attempt to stay in power after losing an election, including a verbal request to terminate the Constitution, and proceeding to an attack on the nation's legislature that ultimately failed. Trump still attempted a coup.
If this happened in another country you'd laugh about how banana republic it all is and how lucky it was to survive as a democracy.

When Democrats take your money through taxes or Bidenflation it’s completely legal and the only remedy is to vote them all out.

trump: I will end democracy as we know it, my mob attacked congress, I am liable for sexual assault and massive corporate fraud, I have been impeached twice and indicted dozens of times. I have even advocated for the termination of the Constitution
biden: I think we should consider raising federal revenue to help solve the deficit and debt.
Republicans: Oh man it's trump all the way!

Raising taxes is political suicide. It's much easier to convince everyone that we need to cut spending. The poor are leeches! Sucking on the teat of the American taxpayers! Why do we fund these single mothers Mercedes payments or provide healthcare to people over the age of whatever it is? What a waste of money
“Hypothetically speaking, if before he was POTUS he had his executives get into a rental helicopter that crashed in the NJ Pine Barrens after being summoned to NYC while they were cooperating with a money laundering investigation into his casinos, would said person have immunity?”
Your guy is big complaining about the wrongfulness of his courtroom being too cold before he goes in for his day of testimony in his felony fraud trial.

Mitch McConnell continues to be a political hero of mine. Watch how he gives non answers but ultimately affirms that president's should not have complete immunity from prosecution. What a stud:
The Senate minority leader made the comments in an interview with NBC News' "Meet the Press" as the Supreme Court weighed Donald Trump's claim of absolute immunity.
Interesting that if you look at polls and compare to the electoral map, trump is the big favorite. He's polling ahead of Biden in just about every swing state, and that's how you win the WH.
BUT
In the betting markets, bettors have biden winning. When people put money down on the table, they are betting on Biden. And those sites generally skew right, so this isn't a bias question.
So either betting markets are telling us that polling is not reflecting what is going on out there (that polling is wrong), or that there will be a swing toward Biden over the summer and fall.
Certainly when people actually vote (rather than answer polling questions) they are skewing to the Dems. I suppose that's what the bettors are looking at.

Let's roll the tape back to 2020. Trump could have easily used COVID to his advantage. Sure, he called it the Kung Flu virus, etc. and seemed to not be cut out for dealing with it. It was a global pandemic, and most Americans understood that. Nobody was expecting much from him, and yet he was supportive of project lightspeed and the US led in many ways in how it responded. There were many wins to boast about. Yet instead of using it all to his advantage going into election season, what did Trump do? He decided it was a great idea for him to lead the COVID Task Force communications to the public. He could read from prepared notes, and lean on his professional team to discuss the technical stuff... but no. Trump couldn't handle not being in the constant spotlight so much that he went up there every time and showed the country and world how much of an irresponsible idiot he was. He turned an easy opportunity into disastrous PR.
My point is Trump is awful at actually leading and making people feel safe. He is a loud mouth, hateful, ignorant, and dishonorable fool. His advantage is lying and spreading those lies so he can benefit. The more the public sees of him going into November the more it'll hurt him. He doesn't have any structure, any actual ideas about making things better, and is unable to persuade middle-ground folks. The more air time he gets the more people become sure they don't want him. He is effectively campaigning for Biden every time he opens his mouth. Those irretrievably lost tzees (and yes there are too many of them) are locked in anyway so they don't matter.
Now Biden has just started campaigning, so he should have some considerable upside. He hasn't spent the last 4 years boasting about how awesome he is and bashing his opponents.
No surprise the betting markets are giving Biden an edge. Just imagine how desperate trump is going to get as we approach November. He is already completely unhinged now. Those voters who aren't too crazy about Biden this time around - Trump is scaring them away. Those who voted for Nikki - many aren't going to hold their breath this time around.

This is a high quality read. Especially your take on Covid. Trump still can't to this day get credit for the project warp speed because his base is stacked full of cookoos that he helped create because of his conflicting statements about covid. Trump has a many serious faults that have been noted by those that were close to him during his administration. All of them are really, really bad in leaders.
1. He simply doesn't listen to experts. When they are giving him advice, his mind is wandering and thinking about other things. His attention span is 90 seconds. And he doesn't read.
2. He has to be #1 at all time. If he even senses anyone around him getting credit for something his first reaction is to disparage that person with sarcastic, cutting remarks. (Fauci).
3. Trump is a stupid man that firmly believes he is incredibly smart. And that causes him to trust his instincts which are bad very often. (See bankruptcies and self inflicted indictments).
4. His pride will never let him pivot on anything. He will double down on bad decisions for the simply reason that he needs to be right. (see sharpie weather forecasting)
5. He does not care about anyone but himself. (Everything must be transactional. ie: Blue states don't get PPE or disaster relief because they don't vote for me).

Good post. Yeah Trump is a perfect example of a narcissist who has gone through life getting rewarded for his egotism. As if his narcissism weren't enough, he also made money and acquired more power - which to him has confirmed he was right all along. This vicious feedback loop helped turn him into a black hole. And anyone who gets close enough and crosses the event horizon pays for it dearly. I can't imagine a single person sticking around as a friend because they actually like him - unless they share similar bad traits. His family failed him when he was younger (I'm sure the signs were there) and the system failed us for not preventing someone like that from eventually becoming president, and now running again after revolting against our democracy.

You are just flat out nuts. glad your handle is troll so there is no taking you seriously, but your way of thinking has us in the precipice of nuclear war. there is no winning that. get your disease under control

I was just going to mock you with "KIDS !!!" and "WWIII !!!" but I see that there's a bit more to chew on this time.
You know how you always received terrible grades on your essays in HS? Yep. But you didn't listen, you didn't learn. Like above: Two posters were talking about how a horrible human being is so very clearly a horrible human being. And you replied with something about the precipice of nuclear war. Those poor teachers.

Is it colder then when Melania is by him?
By the way, that Susan McDougal was a very good looking woman. Can you imagine touching or even talking to or even just being around Donald Trump for a year?

Non-partisan, mostly non-Donald Trump point for all of the non-morans:
Can intelligent, well-educated, thoughtful Americans PLEASE stop giving credit to the President for non-decisions and the workings of the largest, most sophisticated, and well-funded government in history?
Was there a downside to Warp Speed? Was there anything to sell politically, to voters or politicians? Or was it a complete no-brainer? I highly suspect it was a complete no-brainer.
Let's give Presidents credit for DECISIONS. Policy or initiative toss-ups, and they go the right way....it turns out. Successful international diplomacy (when we have some reason to believe they did anything). Successfully working with Congress. Capably speaking to the citizens. That kind of stuff.
BUT, when they - as they so often do - SIMPLY say "Yes" and point the awesome resources and expertise and man hours of the MASSIVE U.S. federal government (that WE paid for) on something.....feel free to hold the applause. That's not hard. MOST people not named Donald Trump could do that (him NOT getting in the way of Warp Speed was, of course, an extremely rare exception).
