It's really remarkable. All it would take in one of these interviews or speeches is for Trump to claim the country was great under him and do a half a$$ed job of explaining a few policy points, without mentioning any Ds. His bar is so low that this alone could start to turn his campaign around. But he is just wired differently and fully governed by his ego. One of the most telling events was when Fauci corrected him at one of those COVID dressers and thought he was being called into his office to be fired. Instead, Trump was raving about the number of viewers tuning in for that one.
Alright folks, time for a summary of what we have watched since Biden announced was he will not run. In almost every poll, when the question is - "would you vote for the "generic" D instead of Trump (or R instead of Biden)?" - the answer is always the generic D or R. Americans quickly attach baggage to known politicians. What is so brilliant about Harris is that she has managed thus far to run as the generic D, while Trump failed miserably to attach a negative identify to her. So she doesn't need to speak to reporters and doesn't need to trap herself with specific policy points. All she needs to do is be generic! This is why the Rs want so desperately for her to be interviewed. They want to break this cycle but she's in command. It's the Kamala show!
the first 10 minutes of Trump's RNC was written by the campaign. And Trump has professional campaign staff. If he just stuck with that he would have done great. It was humble, professional and even induced sympathy at his assassination attempt. But Trump is impulsive, narcissistic and deranged. So he went off script and droned on and on for 90 minutes in the most batsh!t acceptance speeches ever heard. And Trump can't break from the insane. It is only getting worse. The garbage coming out of his mouth is even getting fox news and right wingers angry.
So now we are 90 days away and Trump is playing golf 3 out of 5 days and they have him in home confinement to make sure he does not induce any more self inflicted wounds. But we know Trump don't we? He will be driven crazy by not dominating the news cycle so he will try to get it back with more demented tweets or some insane stunt.

1. Doctored images that made Trump think "nobody was there" at the Airport hanger were done by right wingers and they even stamped "parody" on the images. Yet Trump needed to believe they were real. That Harris was cheating. That he had bigger crowds.
2. When Trump made an Azz of himself claiming he had crowds bigger than MLK, this was because hours earlier the Harris campaign posted side by sides of their rallies.
How the hell can a guy with the impulse control of a 7 year old be President? Imagine what our enemies can do to Trump and have done to Trump if he is so easily manipulated.
