Yeah I don't think Chicago Marathon is going to care, but ON will. Your actual marathon race videos (because we all know it won't be just the one) are going to score you a lot of views and attention.
- I took a big swing <------- Lol you did not. - Here's what really happened at London <--- Will you tell us how you stayed on goal pace for less than 5k? - Time to be honest about London <--- But now you WILL tell us, no? - How I changed my training after London <--- You panicked and went program-hopping like a hobby jogger.
Shock horror: No Sydney Marathon for Ben Parkes after the latest injury. At this point he must spend more time cancelling flights than actually training. Either he’s losing thousands on wasted bookings or he’s got some kind of “injury tax” built into his travel budget.
But don’t worry, the show must go on. Valencia in December. Seville in February. He said on Strava he's entered the lottery for Tokyo for March. And I assume London in April, because imagine the tragedy of not getting that content. Nothing screams “recovery strategy” like signing up for every large marathon under the sun while limping through training blocks.
And yet people still treat these YouTubers like coaches. Following the training plans of a guy who’s permanently broken. Can’t make it up
I follow him on Strava and the guy just runs every run pretty much at the same pace which isn't far off his recent marathon pace. It's no wonder he gets injured...
You wonder if the usefulness of Phily’s ‘pro contract’ (ie, influencer contract), that she hangs so much of her reason for being on, is feeding her already sky high neurosis.

The 'Gram is full of the Runfluencers living large on Sportstours in Sydney. I wonder if Sportstours actually sells add ons that include having your picture taken with the likes of Track Club Babe and Kofuzi. And if that isn't enough for you, the Believe in the Run Crew is living large is Chamonix thanks to Hoka. And make sure to pronounce it Charmon-Ex, like the toilet paper in your best Baltimorese accent according to their last podcast. This week might end up being pretty funny.
New floberg video out. Already want to turn this nonsense off. Within one minute I hear "I'll have a six pack in...no time". So corny.
Aaaaand of course, he almost pukes at the end of his track workout. Why is this a recurring issue. Same thing over and over again he never learns...overcooking for sure. I'm so curious what paces Jeff is actually prescribing him. Would love to see that.
Broberg trying to copy Truett Hanes with the push ups and situps. 90 miles a week but less than 500' of elevation gain?? A selfie stick in the bathroom showing us his pecks? Kaizen going after all the influencers, sorry their 5k prediction it had for me was 100 seconds slower than what I had run a month prior. At least garmin is only 50 seconds slow, whereas Strava is really really close.
Overall I kinda do look forward to his videos, to see what odd thing he'll do. Maybe one day he'll have a normal video. Couldn't imagine sitting in a tree telling about my hobby jogger running or interviewing my wife about how annoying I am.
I think he flashed his future Chicago time on the screen a few times, 2:36, 2:37
The new BITR “dirt division” is somehow even more of a train wreck than their regular bs. Taylor DNFs Leadville halfway through on a comped bib. Robbe gets Roche’s course record time repeatedly wrong. Taylor interviews Abby Hall about winning western states almost two months after it happened, effs up the audio and has to make her redo it. Taylor says on the podcast that the sport has only been competitive for the last 15 years (screw you Jurek, Carpenter, and anyone else who set CRs before then).
And thanks to Hoka we get to have Thomas gallivanting around Auburn and Chamonix in his cowboy hat with all his dumb camera gear, throwing down 23 minute miles at a comped 10 mile race. These guys are cringe af. Makes bloberg’s tree videos seem normal
I agree they're the worst. Though Kofuzi is worse in some ways (at least BITR hasn't stooped to hawking Klarna yet) worse.
No mention of Kofuzi's latest video? I guess after calling him an Asics shill so many times in this 290 page thread you have to ignore it when he does a review not liking an Asics shoe.

I'm going back to watch some of his videos from the sub 2:42-build (or maybe even the Boston series), when he was actually watchable. The latest video was a new low.
To be fair to Ed Bud, I expected him to be all in on the new Asics Sonicblast, but he's basically said on review it's a bit crap. I do think he has his favourite brands and models but I still trust him to call out a dud.
I also appreciate he doesn't try to give anyone half baked training advice and just sticks to shoes.

He was back out yesterday with some crazy, complex workout - and AGAIN had to stop half way for a dump. The guy has serious digestion problems and needs to review this. Is it the BPN gels?
I dont understand why these wanna be elite hobby joggers have such complex workouts. Look at what Canova has his athletes do, look at Pfitz (who, ironically, Bloberg followed when he had his biggest improvements) simple workouts, no worries, not over doing it, just getting fitter week on week. They dont have these complicated workouts

If Asics was paying for his Sydney trip that would've been a different video! They're not and Kofuzi is stuck with lowly Sport Tours and in the same category of influencer as Track Club Babe. Also, Asics is no longer paying him to tour the country like they did the past five years, when he loved every Asics shoe and never discloses they were paying him. Instead, he's been replaced by Meaghan from Believe in the Run. It's easy to be critical when the money dries up...
So lovely to see that Floberg and Cole are friends. A British American bromance.
I actually think Floberg encapsulates Americans. He is a typical American and most US runners are like him. Whilst I think Jake Ran to Japan Barraclough and the crown boys encapsulate British people.
Think the differences between those show how different the two nationalities are. Not that one is bad or ones good, both are very cool in their own way
The BPN gels are legitimately the worst gels on the market in my opinion having tried at least a dozen different brands. They taste horrible, provide a lot lower amount of carbs then other brands, and make you feel sick
