Not racist enough. You should have complained about Biniam Girmay and it would have stayed up

Because it was just plain dumb. Everyone knows it's Alex Honnold.
.
Nikki Hiltz retweeted an Antifa tweet. I thought that was interesting and started a thread. The thread was promptly deleted. I don't get it.
I started a thread based on the same tweet and the mods deleted it after it hit 3 pages.
With regard to this forum, the moderation will delete threads that post true information that makes Republicans look bad. For example, any thread that mentions Republicans want to make women second class citizens that are forced to give birth against their will be deleted. Republicans, including the bros, want to hide the truth to try to get Trump elected.

Wejo and Rojo,
Would you please instruct the moderators to delete the threads attacking Christians and Jews? People are on here literally trying to drum up anti-religious sentiment against these groups. Throughout history it has ended in violence. I ask that you have some decency. Whoever your moderation team is doesn't seem to care and certainly doesn't act when that stuff is reported.
There was a reply to this regrading, "how about other religious groups?" A moderator deleted it. That makes appear that attacks are others groups are acceptable on LRC. That may not have been the intent of the deletion, but the result is that moderation is biased.

Hey if the Brojos or moderators are reading this, can you please explain why we aren't allowed to discuss Nikki Hiltz retweeting Antifa? Seems newsworthy to me.
every time I check this forum there are a dozen non-running threads marked as running. mods are slacking

Like what? I count pole vault or shot put as running

Bye bye thread discussing Trump telling Christians they won't have to vote again after he's elected.
Rojo/Wejo I don’t know if you’re still reading this, but just in case…
For a while, I thought the moderators were primarily responsible for the chaotic, inconsistent, and oppressive moderation on the site. I’ve changed my mind. Respectfully, the problem is primarily you, Rojo and Wejo. Please understand I am not saying this in an angry or accusatory way.
You ask the moderators to do the impossible. From what I can tell, you basically order the moderators to delete any post or thread that is offensive according to some vague guidelines. This is an impossible task, as there is clearly zero agreement between moderators as to what is offensive, and what isn’t. Leftist moderators remove conservative posts. Conservative moderators remove progressive posts.
This is why a thread discussing the vice presidential pick is removed almost immediately, while a thread suggesting that JD Vance is a closet homosexual is allowed to stay up for hours. I got banned for three days for saying something not obscene, threatening or critical, but merely silly. Meanwhile, others who are continually profane and abusive are allowed to post day after day. Posts critical of some runners are mysteriously removed, while others remain. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. Like I said, you ask the moderators to do the impossible. There is simply no agreement on what is politically and socially offensive. In our day and age, I doubt that is even possible.
The solution is one that a lot of people won’t like. Instruct moderators to remove posts within a very narrow category. Posts that are threatening, doxxing, pornographic, use racist terms, or are critical of high school runners. That’s it. Explain that it is not your job to delete each and every post that someone, somewhere won’t like. Explain that people who are easily offended should find somewhere else to surf.
Yes, that means a lot of trolling will remain. So what? The trolls are outnumbered by real running threads, and always have been.
I took a break from the site for several days. I came back and replied to three different threads. One of my responses took about 15 minutes to craft. All of those threads were deleted. Frankly, it isn’t worth peoples time to commit to serious discussion. The moderation is just too much.
I hope you give real consideration to these words. I’m sorry this post was so long.
100%. I lose interest in making a real reply to a thread if it’ll be deleted by the insane mods.
Why would a thread, about the disturbing repeat trend of dudes wearing their pants not fully pulled up, be deleted? Even though it was marked "non-running" and "pop culture?"
It is non-running pop culture to walk around with your waistband around your needs, as most of today's urban riff raff seem to do. In the 90s, it was a gansta/ghetto thing with baggy pants, but nothing like how they are doing it now. Now they just wear normal pants with way too short inseam length.
Your mods must live in a basement in some white bread neighborhood they never venture out of, to not take this subject seriously. Go to any city with non white bread people in it an you will see.
I want to know why all the threads about DJ Vance having relations with his sofa were deleted. We do have a right to free speech, you know.

Aren't you also asking the moderators to do the impossible?
You acknowledge that there is "simply no agreement on what is politically and socially offensive". In every scenario, someone will be unhappy no matter what.
I don't blame the site owners or the moderators, but there are too many bad apples among the posters.

I don't think that it matters who the mods are. I would like to see the Brojos set some standards and then moderate to those standards. It is confusing that thoughtful posts regarding politics, doping, the state of the sport, training, etc. vanish for no reason but bigoted stuff, Jamin's attention seeking (and, conversely, his antics that suddenly disappear when the heat gets turned on him), unsubstantiated rumors, conspiracy theory junk, and clear trolling threads are permitted to stay up.
Yes, they need the clicks and page views to make money. No, we don't want this to become a boring place filled with nothing but nice platitudes. The place is begging for a clean up and I hope that the owners and mods take things in a more mature and considered direction.
Disagree 100%.
brojos, if you’re reading this…..DO NOT CHANGE anything about the site.
asking for improvement will elicit counter productive complaints from the loudest minority of users.
its a radical idea to keep the site as it is, but you’ve built LetsRun…..from dream to reality. Changing it further to appease people like the above poster will take away its character.
