Kenenisa Bekele: how soon will he totally annihilate the distance WR's?

The Kenyans are either very confident or very stupid. The plan may work against-not top form-Bekele but now every other contender know their plans as well! Logic?

Bekele wins Short Course by 5 seconds despite Kenyans and Quataris plans. Now the primetime real deal 12k is tomorrow and I say Kenenisa wins again but it may be alot more difficult for him than ever.

This was basically an African affair with the exception of Jorge and Sullivan. Wow!

Interesting article link below where the Kenyans said if Kenenisa wins the short course it will have been so difficult for him he won't even finish the long course tomorrow.

The pacesetters was supposed to sprint the start and yet no Kenyan led the first lap it was Saif Shaheen and Kenenisa Bekele. The Kenyans (coaches and some athletes) should take a history lesson from their past X-Country LEGENDS John Ngugi and Paul Tergat who said little before the race but DEMANDED attention and respect with their races results/victories!

I read that article last night and thought that it would be ridiculous to believe that the Kenyans would actually follow through with a plan that they publicized. I have a feeling that those rumors of Kenyan rabbits were just that, rumors.

and being Africans from two different countries have little to do with team (country) titles? Since I too am African and American am I supposed to rival when Africans beat my fellow Americans? The Kenyans take no pride in Kenenisa dismantling their best athletes and seek only to defeat him in the name of Kenya not Africa.

There seems to be quite a few positive Kenenisa Bekele threads popping up when most people had counted him out a month ago.

I don't think SonNative gonna respond to you. Who is Jamal Bilal Salem of Quatar I just viewed parts of the race and he looked very comfortable and unafraid of Kenny B. often running right upon Kenny B's shoulder. With more speed for a decent kick J.B. Salem would have finished better than his 5th. What is his real name before he became a citizen of Quatar and his personal best?

I know someone still has that great video with Bekele and Geb. Could someone post it or send the link?

Honestly, I posed that as rehtorical(sp?) question. As to the names, I am not sure who is who. But there was the former Stephen Cherno who is now something like Ahemed Selah (no disrespect!) And there was also a runner by the name of Albert Chipkuri whom I don't recall his running name to his adopting country. All good runners, enriching gulf states with medals while short-changing their former homeland.
