We're in a bit of a dead patch now before track meets in the US/Europe really start. Anyone got whispers on what Aussies are competing mid-late May? I know these for sure.
The Shanghai Diamond League meet is on the 16th of May. We've got 6 Australian women lining up in the 1500m, including - Jess Hull, Sarah Billings, Claudia Hollingsworth, Linden Hall, Abbey Caldwell, Georgia Griffith. There's also a 3000m Steeple womens, 3000m mens, 800m but no startlists released for those.
The Xiamen Diamond League meet is on the 23rd May and is set to feature a loaded sub-13 5km mens with Almgren, Kwemoi, Aregawi etc. Also a women's 1500m but no names released aside from Jess Hull. You'd expect a bunch of the Aussie women to stay in China after Shanghai and compete in Xiamen too.
Stewy McSweyn, Morgan McDonald and Lauren Ryan are down as entrants for the Sound Running Track Fest in LA on May 23rd. No actual startlists yet, but you'd have to assume it would be a 3 or 5km.
We have a bunch of Aussies competing at the Puma Nitro Lange Laufnacht Karlsruhe in Germany on 30th of May. Jye Edwards in the 1500m, Ben Buckingham in the 3000m Steeplechase, Jaylah Hancock-Cameron in the women's 1500m, Cam Myers in the 800m (!!!).
Cam Myers will be toeing the line at the Stockholm Diamond League on June 7th in an absolutely stacked 1500m
