Now Menlo-Atherton is… an interesting pick for the watchlist, I mean they have a solid 3 but that’s about it. It’s enough to qualify for states and maybe win CCS tho
In other news, Ed Sias! Saint Mary’s College beat Campolindo (and they will beat Jserra at state), and the winner of the small school race is soph Campo star Caden Ehrhorn who seems to be their lowstick atm. Also Willow Glen has also beaten Campolindo (I believe they were missing Clark Gregory)

1. SMC 2. Willow Glen 3. Campolindo
Love your enthusiasm for SMC but you really think based on these results they will take down Jserra? Don't know a thing about this Ed Sias course but even if moderately hilly a 10:37 avg for 2 miles w/ a 44 second spread could be a premature tooting of the horn. Jserra had a 9 second spread at PR City through 2 miles with 4 guys between 9:40-9:41 and their #5 at 9:49. It was flat but also their season open.

The Ed Sias course is moderately hilly, and then with about 600 to go has a 100 meter hill that is about 45 degrees. This course has been around forever. Not sure SMC is better than J Serra, or even better than Bishop O’Dowd in their own division in NCS, but it was a pretty good performance. The surprise was probably Campolindo. One last item, I never take much from this race, as it is 2 miles, and the hill eats people up.
Andres Lomeli 14:38 5k at Kim Duyst. Kyle Jakary 14:52 (all the more impressive considering Jakary has been sick and barely recovered). Benjamin Fernandez 14:54
Cooper Barr of Placer broke the 5k school record by 2 seconds in 15:25. The 5k record was set at Woodward park in the early 2000s by Stuart Eastman in State Champion fashion… could the school Woodward park record also go down this season?

Maybe but this course is incredibly fast. The winner last year never ran a faster 5k the rest of the year including two cracks at Woodward Park. I don’t think it very apples to apples.
