WTF is up with this - guy has been solid there for years - another cut to an aging coach to save on long term retirement benefits?

Not really. He's been one of the more underperforming coaches in the conference for quite a while. Goes through the motions, not much ambition.

So Western Washington and now Central Washington are looking for head coaches and Seattle Pacific is presumably looking for a distance coach?

Yes, this is correct. Lots of change happening in the GNAC.

I wouldn't say "underperforming". CWU usually finishes 4th or 5th (middle) of the conference consistently on the mens side, and he has had major success for the women within the last decade (qualified for nationals 2-3 times). He doesn't get the same level of recruits as the top 3-4 teams in the conference so with the talent he has does a phenomenal job developing the small talent he gets. He does a great job at getting his athletes to peak at the championship meet.

Ellensburg is not a great place to train relative to the other cities in the GNAC.

I'm a bit biased of course since he did coach me.

What is Louisville doing? Who are they gunning for or reached out to? Will it be Heins or Miller?
