BUT TRUMP JUST PLEAD THE 5TH AMENDMENT RATHER THAN RISKING PERJURY OR PROSECUTION.
Which means he almost certainly will lose his civil case in NY.
Imagine that, 'law and order' 'conservatives.' Here's what 45 had to say about that. Just like he said anyone under FBI investigation is not qualified to be president.
“The mob takes the Fifth. If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?” Donald Trump in Council Bluffs, Iowa
Wazzu incorrectly claimed that the FBI have not arrested, charged or convicted any pedophiles connected to Epstein.
The link above shows Ghislaine Maxwell who WAS arrested, charged and convicted.
For some strange reasons Trump wished her well.
You’re welcome.
Yeah, Epstein and Maxwell were the fall men. We all knew that, but they were known to be sex trafficking for people other than themselves. Where are those arrests?
The reason he "wished her well" was implying that he expects her to die in jail like Epstein, and hopes she doesn't so that more names could be arrested. It doesn't seem strange when you read the full quote.
“Yeah, I wish her well,” he said. “I’d wish you well. I’d wish a lot of people well. Good luck. Let them prove somebody was guilty.”
That explanation would carry weight IF Trump appointee Bill Barr had not ruled Epstein’s death suicide.
I'm a life-long Republican but have been accused of being a "radical liberal" by many Trumpers. The fact is that the Trumpers do not reflect the values of the GOP that I used to know.
Anyway, the National Review, the publication that was founded by conservative William F. Buckley, Jr, and is now carried on by Rich Lowry, had a good op-ed piece about the FBI's looking in to DJT. (Trumpers have said Lowry is a "radical liberal," BTW. They also think that Buckely was liberal! That is rich!)
Below is a link to the short op-ed, that I don't think many Trumpers will read because it is probably considered to be too long for their attention span and the content too difficult to comprehend even though it is quite elementary. It's a short read, just a minute or two, but is spot on.
The two best quotes from the piece...
"The FBI serves search warrants on homes all the time. Donald Trump is a former president, not a mystical sacrosanct being."
"If we really believe, as we say we believe, that this is a republic, that nobody is above the law, that the presidency is just a temporary executive-branch office rather than a quasi-royal entitlement, then there is nothing all that remarkable about the FBI serving a warrant on a house in Florida."
The FBI that raided Trump and his supporters is the same FBI that has Epstein’s client list of rich and powerful people that took part in trafficking and molesting underage kids. But they’ll never release that list or conduct raids on those people.
So in the past week Biden authorized the expansion of the IRS by 87,000 employees and now the FBI is doing the Democrats' political dirty work and the libbies are cheering. The FBI has time to raid Trump's house but not investigate Hunter Biden's laptop or arrest those implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein case. And of course the most intelligent and morally superior leftards don't bat an eye, they just start frothing at the mouth over Trump.
Liberals embrace the taste of boot if it means they don't have to see mean tweets.
Are you suggesting that Trump’s own Attorney General was lying about Epstein’s death?
Maybe not the winning argument you think you’re making.
Could be lying, could just be wrong, could be right. Not sure how him being Trump's AG makes a difference. If you believe in the "perfect storm of screw ups" theory, well good luck with that.
