Calling caution “chicken little syndrome” when facts show the NASDAQ went nowhere 3/2000 thru 7/2016. Why did the NASDAQ triple by 12/31/2021? Oh, the great growth companies. I guess they have just stalled out a bit. No worries, little chicken livered investors. :-)
And looking forward to moving back into leveraged territory that had worked so well for me prior to this year when I pulled back somewhat.
Rest assured, I am leveraged in the other direction. :-)
I am not worried. And I am comforted by the fact that today the market settled in and even ended up for this tech/nasdaq heavy portfolio.
Looking for the right point to put the last little bit of cash into equities/ETS.F

Betting against NASDAQ has netted me a return of 15% in a few short weeks.
If you really think the market will continue to fall, bet against it.
I am almost always wrong in these fearful sale times. Betting against the market is not something I want to do.
the crazy thing is that now more than ever the underlying pressures of inflation are plunging. But I've been watching that for months and the headline inflation numbers haven't come down much. I mean they have come down a little but just a tenth or two.
Still...it has to stick at some point. Even the Fed thinks that PCE in the 3Q will be just 3.85% annulized.
if that comes true this market will be a rocketship. I'm sure my recent sales will be regretted at that point.

What underlying pressures of inflation?
My very basic understanding is that increasing the money supply decreases the value of the dollar which results in inflation.

Has the printing of $ slowed?
input prices to businesses have been falling for many weeks, and even accelerating to the downside recently.
Given my current investments, hope the maket continues to fall tomorrow so that fear builds over the week-end and we get a real dip on Mondy.
I am $115k in the hole for the year (was $140k a couple of weeks ago) and need to climb back some.
Not enuff invested in ETFs and stocks to make it all back (and the stocks run counter to my ETS) to make it all back. Would have to put more $$ in or be very lucky (my stocks rise as market goes down) or both to get to $0 for the year

actually check that...probably more accurate to say that price increases of inputs to businesses have been rising....but rising at a progressively slower rates and even falling a bit recently.
