Iranian airspace is close. lots of jamming going on around GCC states. Iran has placed its military on high alert.

But it is interesting that it is coming just as Iran negotiations seem to be reaching a critical juncture. Diplomacy is currently in high gear with some expectation that US and Iran will agree to a thirty day deal that will open the strait, end fighting and give time to resolve nukes. The hawks in the Trump admin still want to strike Iran and may be given the opportunity to launch a performative and limited attack to try and increase pressure on Iran. The deal reportedly offers Iran sanctions relief and the unlocking of as much as $20bn frozen assets in return for Iran reopening the strait of Hormuz and agreeing to negotiate on its nuclear programme over the next 60 days starting on 5 June in Pakistan. Details of the final points of dispute were not released. At least $12bn of the assets are in Qatar.
The deal also reportedly requires Iran and the US, and their allies, to cease fighting, and for Israel to end its offensive in Lebanon.

About sums it up, and looks to be directly where we are headed. this appears to have been the most disastrous war in recent american history and that really is an achievement.
I cant see a single one of Trumps original aims being significantly met, relevant, or not countered / made irrelevant by the progress that Iran has now made.
This is the worst deal ever. Look out Cuba, Trump is gonna need a distraction to avoid this embarassment.

How precious is it that the one time GOP senators find a backbone and stand up to Trump publicly is to monger for more war on behalf of Israel? Giving up and making concessions, as Trump is attempting to do, is the only practical option. This was an unwinnable war from the start.
Of course, this is now all going to be scuttled (for what, the 9th time?). If the media and GOP just played along and acted like this were a huge accomplishment instead of capitulation, as they normally would for Dear Leader, the war might actually end. Instead they will provoke the most easily manipulated man on earth. Everyone knows that Tump's ego wont tolerate the perception that he lost. We will see a complete 180 by tomorrow. The War is back on. Take it to the bank.

Or maybe there is no deal. It looked like there was a breakthrough on Iran either diluting or shipping some of its enriched uranium off to Russia. But Iran is insisting that nuke negotiations will take place later. Status of the Strait is also not clear. GCC states are over the war and need their oil money asap. They are pushing Trump to get the strait open again. Trump is bored and wants to invade Cuba instead.
