I don't think razor wire at the border would prevent anyone from crossing. These people are smuggled into the country in a variety of ways, often in trucks and cars. The people who make money smuggling immigrants would just dismantle the wire in the areas they intend to keep crossing. Worst case scenario it gashes some child or their mother.

Honestly, this discussion is ridiculous. Who cares if 20,00 per month illegals are entering this country or 10,000 a month are entering this country. This is a reminder that under the direction of Donald Trump, Republicans blocked the strongest border security bill in decades, crafted by Republican Senator James Lankford and endorsed by the acting chief of U.S. Customs and the Border Patrol Union, because they fear it will help Biden politicly. He said “Blame me.”
They repeatedly talk about a "wide open border" and an "Invasion" but chose to do nothing (at least) until February 2025. And even that is a 50:50 chance of Trump getting elected. The border means nothing to the GOP except a political issue to use.
