Guess it depends what you consider A LOT. In November 2016 manufacturing employment was 689,500. In March 2019 it was all the way up to 701,400. So a gain of 11,900 or about 1.7 per cent over 2.5 years. A slower increase than the trend since 2010. Note the huge hollowing out of manufacturing jobs that occurred in Ohio under George H.
