It depends. If the voter in question is a billionaire or a racist then you are correct, as they would be voting for their own self-interest. It's not quite the criticism you think it is saying a lawyer never argued a case in front of a judge, especially if by "case in front of a judge" you actually mean "trial in front of a jury." Which is what I think you mean (even if you aren't aware that's what you mean). Very few lawyers, even litigators, ever first or second chair a jury trial.
I'll guarantee you that Harris (IQ =75.5) has argued dozens of motions in front of a judge. Probably hundreds.

Trump's deportation numbers are significantly lower than Obama's because of the way ICE operations are conducted. Obama looked for efficiency and procedure, while Trump looks for media splash and spectacle. Obama had ICE searching areas where large populations of migrants reside, while Trump has ICE in Minnesota, an area with very few Mexicans, searching for confrontations that are covered by MSM.
