Yep and the question hanging over the market is whether the US dollar is closer to being dethroned as the primary global reference point for finance and business and central bank reserves. That is already happening with US treasuries. Big trouble is there is a downgrade in our national debt by S&P and Moody's and Fitch. If the baby pedophile in chief leads us down that road there will be no turning back in the short or long term.
It's hard to believe that the market only lost 2% today. That could be a sign that Trump is going to TACO again, but if he doesn’t the markets are likely to go down a lot more. But TACO or not, a lot of the damage has already been done. Allies are going looking at the prospect of decoupling from the US and some of that is already in the works. Trump wants to replace our current trading partners with Russia, the Gulf Oil States, El Salvador and Argentina. China is going to become a much stronger country as a result of all of this.
This is all going to be an albatross on the American economy over the long term, and there is probably no undoing the damage that has already been done. It seems that Trump really does hate the USA and wants to either knowingly or unknowingly make China a great country. He is so dense that he can't realize what damage he is is doing.
