Yeah happens all the time. I used to do a bit of DJing, and there were a few local DJs in London whose Facebook pages had tens of thousands of likes. But when they posted anything, it would get zero interaction. Obvious fakes. Just google buy facebook likes, there are hundreds of sites offering it. Mostly based in India etc.

I had read he was raised by foster parents or in foster care. If so, good chance there was some abuse that led to that situation. Who knows to what extent.
My two previous posts were simply for people to think about what they're saying and posting and doing. It's easy to get swept up in the back and forth banter, often humorous, and not think about crossing lines that shouldn't be crossed. Joking about child abuse crosses a line, at least for me. Stalking and harrassing are crimes and you don't want to cross that line either. Just cautioning people to think before they post. Carry on.

Haha that's what I'm sayin. Commented several pages back that I literally don't believe his Facebook. I think it's all some massive social experiment or troll effort or something... Actual people with brains in their head are changing their profile pic for this guy?

The ones who comment are real. He also has about 45,000 fake, paid for likes. They won't ever interact with the page.

Check the visitor posts on the left side, you have to scroll down a bit, not easy to find.Not many of his supporters are responding which is telling enough, up until now it seemed that every post that questioned him was met with a dozen people calling 'Hater'.

Unfortunately it's obvious he did cheat. He was posting world record distance times when not being watched and now he has been watched he struggled to manage half that distance and has picked up an injury. Some people will not look at the evidence or not have the experience in this sport to know what is and not possible pace early in the race. Showboating by watching movies and sight seeing after a 80 mile day in record time. Now 60 miles and not capable of even having time to rest.
It's such a shame as he is a nice guy and has plenty of guts and potential but has tarnished his credibility. His only hope if he thinks he has not cheated is to provide the watch and gps data from the run's but I doubt that will ever happen now his run is over and his hopes of the record gone.
Also it will be interesting to see if he takes the team up on their offer to compete in a 10 day race alongside other runners and prove his ability he "showed" in the first 2 weeks when he was elite world class pace.
