Why do Floberg and the other BPN guys only do one hard day a week and think this is an effective marathon training approach? You can run all the easy mileage in the world but endless junk mileage won’t make you faster once you get to a certain point. This ‘Wednesday workout’ stuff is bollocks you ideally want 3 sessions a week - look at what the top guys are doing (this).

Ben Felton will pimp himself out to too many brands, do too many ‘shake out’ runs, will be flitting around town for the content, and will arrive at the start line knackered. 2hr32.

Floberg specifically seems to be running his "base phase" right in peak marathon training. He was too busy pissing about in the summer to get these miles done and he is playing catch up now

Feltons not got the minerals for the marathon. decent 5km runner but poor at marathon. has a massive ego and thinks hes elite when hes club tier. needs to stop thinking hes sub 2:20 material and focus on clipping a PB. wouldnt be surpised with another effort outside 2:30 - he doesnt seem to race much anymore, more interested in selling his soul for a free pair of socks

That 2:25 was her pinnacle run. A one off, perfect day, perfect run.

While 2:28-2:30 still makes her incredibly fast it's not enough to really be a true elite

Taylor from Believe in the Run DNF'd his 100 miler at like 40 miles. He apparently lined up to run 100 miles with a ton of vert nursing a foot injury. In a sold out race. With an influencer bib. Stuff like this is why people hate influencer bibs.

Micaela Wood thrashed “I’m a pro”-Bowden by almost 2mins at Falmouth, which is very amusing.

I want to hear what happened. He was in like 25th place at the halfway point when he quit. I’m sure Robbe, who was somehow supposed to pace him, was relieved.

No one is better at wasting influencer bibs than the BITR crew (other than Meaghan who actually trains and is good). They constantly blow up and miss their “goals.” They are “leading” a sub 4 group at NYC. Unless Meg is in that group (she won’t be) I wouldn’t trust any of those guys to reliably run a sub 4 on that course.

Mica and Adam Wood are both very personable.

Oh, so Meaghan supposedly doesn’t waste influencer bibs? The last time she ran well was 2 years ago in Chicago, where even then she ran a positive split and very unevenly. Since then, she has mostly just shown up to run for free and maybe at 80% of her capacity. She hasn’t run PR times at shorter distances in a long time either. It’s true though that she’s the only even moderately decent runner in the BITR crew.
