I have no doubt this is the case. It was always the blatant trend. The site is overloaded with simplistic angry right wing American males. They hang out here because their content is not tolerated elsewhere.

This site thrives on such posters. The Brojos don't want reasoned arguments or civil discussions. They want bomb throwers and simplistic rightwing trolls are the best at getting people riled up and clicking.
Someone like WinstonSmith comes in and posts something super inflammatory. This leads to replies from offended parties that WinstonSmith is happy to counter with one of his "cut-and-paste" talking points or insults. Newname, Ghost of Disco Gary, and a few others do the same thing. These guys generate traffic. My conservative estimate is that WinstonSmith posted about 80-100 times today. Each of those posts were probably clicked by 20+ people wanting to read his screed to see if he poured more gas on the fire. If someone posts a reply to WinstonSmith, then that generates even more clicks. Like a forest fire, the resulting flame war spreads quickly putting money in the owner's pockets.
Some mods get b-hurt and delete stuff that they personally don't like. But they let the worst offenders prattle on for business reasons. The bottom line is that the Wonder Twins make money off of immature flame wars and stupid hot takes vs. threads that end after 40-50 posts because people were making sense. If business is slow, Rojo likes to pull the pin on the rhetorical grenade and start trouble because he knows it will create traffic. I wouldn't be surprised if most LRC employees and volunteers do this under many monikers.

I use a VPN which several LRCers use because it is super cheap, but doesn't have that many IPs. It is amusing the ban that I see for some the IPs.
- No racist posts. Ban expires: never.

- New users cannot post links. . Ban expires: never. (nevermind that the post contains no links.
- Attacking a forum user. Ban expires in three days.

It is amusing to see that despite the IP bans, the flood of troll threads and post seems to keep increasing.
I will have to look for another VPN since the LRC trolls have using it gotten a lot of the IPs banned. I'll leave the cheap VPN to the trolls to kill off.
