Any word on when the Eastern Washington distance job will be posted or what they doing after the firing of Chris Shane. This is distance coach #2 to be fired in a row from EWU under fishy circumstances....
It says in 1 article they are searching for a coach but I haven't seen a post....did I miss it???

Matt Ingebritsen and Artie Gulden are officially in as head coaches of Track and Field and Cross Country, respectively.

Thought about your question. Thought about who are good PV coaches IMHO. None of them are young! Too hard to tell if a young person will end up being a good coach or not, too difficult to collect data on when there aren't enough results yet, and too hard to know everyone around the country who has not been in the game for that long. So then I thought about some vault guys that I think are good, and none of them are especially young, besides just one. They are just good. Bryan Compton, Arkansas Derek Miles, South Dakota Sean Brady, Texas A&M Dennis Mitchell, Akron Brian Porter, Ole Miss Here are a couple of others that don't have the big school or D-I names behind them but seem to be very good vault coaches: Roger Haynes, Monmouth College Tim Winder, North Central College I am sure there are plenty more out there.

The administration and track staff are so lazy and incompetent that the job just might never actually get posted. I mean this is an admin that had two distance coach scandals in what... 4 yrs? Best guess is that whoever is the interim just remains the interim for 20 or so yrs and nobody ever notices

Is this post only referring to men's teams? Minnesota's women's team was co-big ten champions in 2016 outdoors and just won Big Tens indoors and finished 15th at NCAA's indoors with a national champion in the weight throw and several All-Americans and their HC isn't anywhere near retirement age, so I don't see why they would be on this list. The men's team currently is a different story (different coaches too.)
You can’t make a pv coach list and not include Bartolina from Alabama or Curran from UCLA. They may not exactly be young but still two of the best!

And you have to include Tom Hays at Kansas.
Monmouth College is not a real College. It does not even qualify as a U.C.L.A. (University Closest to the Lakewood Area)
