Furman men didn\'t even bother to show up at regional?
That has to be a comfort to Robert Gary. He\'s gotten himself into a hole.

Gilmer and Caldwell went.
They seemed to run pretty crappy. Around 32:50 or so.
Chelimo will be All-American and the others won't.
Let's got to indoor and see some predictions.
800
Mile
3000
5000
Obviously Chelimo will win whatever he chooses to run. The mile could be really hot with Taylor, Gilmer, Moen, Thompson. 5k with Hopkins, Raby, Pagonis, Katam, etc should also be a great race.
What say you?
I'd like to see a stacked 3k with all the top dogs fresh. Chelimo, Thompson, Moen, Taylor, Berry, Raby, etc. That would be sick.
Predicting was a lot more fun when you didn't know that Chelimo could win whatever race he enters. Takes all the excitement out of things.
Kind of reminds me when McDougal was at Liberty. He would crush every Big South race he was in.
I'll start this off since nobody else seems to want a crack.
800
Lantz - good leg speed and coming off a good xc season
West - stepped last track season. Also coming off a good xc season
Stevens Carty - hope Samford doesn't suck as bad in track as they did in xc
Mile
Taylor - fast 1500 last year and least sucky of all the appy guys in xc
Gilmer - he has huge calf power. Maybe this year he will save his one fast mile for socon
Moen - looks like curt cobain
3000
Thompson - great xc season and very good leg speed
Berry - always runs well in championship races. Good kicker
Hopkins - lacks the leg speed of the other two but is very good
5000
Chelimo - obvious pick
Katam - good 10k and good 1500 mean good 5k
Hopkins - can't handle the Kenyans coming off the 3k
Nobody mentions that Chelimo got 13th at nats? That's a hell of a run. Berry and Thompson didn't do as well but congrats to them for making it. Surprised there has been no talk since nats. Its not often the slowcon has a top 15 individual.
Any pre season indoor predictions?
Will Gilmer finally win one this year? He looked decent at UNC, it is obviously still early.
if i were to take a guess maverick harris of wofford will easily take the 5k because of some important factors...
rumor has it that these factors are...
1) Trey Parker will be rabbiting for him at a very swift pace
2) Russell Baker will be using the riot shield featured in the new COD to block Weaver, Hopkins, and other potential contenders
3) Coach Jackson (former Wofford coach) will be returning and changing the course to throw the leaders off the scent of victory

Darius purcell- DUI thursday? is he still on Apps team if so seems like apps desperate for points if they have to keep a thug on the team
since when does getting a dui get you "thug" status
He is a thug. Have you ever heard him talk?
Kid shouldn't even be in college, surprised he has made it this long.
If anyone is desperate, Id say its you guys making these remarks on the lets run forum. If your looking for gossip why dont you just veg on your couch and watch sportscenter.

Everyone please take the time to picture this in your mind. It might be one of the funniest things I can think of.
So is the Purcell rumor true? If so that could have big implications on this year. I competed against him in high school, always seemed like a bit of a wannabe thug but who knows, maybe he got his act together.
Is Curcio leaving App & going to Queens? I just saw the post on the main page.
I think it's a bad rumer.
Something tells me Chelimo could win the mile, 3k and 5k if he wanted.
Maybe it was that 7:49 he just ran.
Kid is on a whole nother level.
Chelimo has ruined every SoCon distance runner's dream to win for this season and for the next 3 years. Maybe somebody will bring in an EVEN better kenyan and beat him. What are the odds?
