Probably some sap from the MAAC, MVC or SWAC who thinks that they'll succeed at a power 5 program. Big reality check incoming for that coach from Grambling, Valparaiso or Canisius!!!

Ihmels is no longer at Boise State. Gavin O'Neal has been named interim. My guess is they will keep Gavin but who knows they may open it up.

Anyone know any more details about this Ft Lewis job? Looks like it says Head XC & Track, but when I click the link it says the page doesn't exist. Also, there are no changes listed on the coaching staff page of their athletics website.

I wonder if the AD there goes after Jeff Howard at Rocky Mountain. Him and his wife are both alums of the program, and already local. Plus they know how to build well and Jeff was a recruiter for Boise State already

It was on therre, and then gone. Weird. You don't accidentally post a full job description with pay and benefits listed. But no announcement on there site yet.

With that logic why not go after Ty Axtman at Timberline... Both him and his wife are local alumni and he did some assistant coaching at BSU back in the day. I have a feeling though that they are going to hire someone who already has extensive HC experience at a D1 program..

Ihmels has been on the ropes for a while and a lot of it had to do with the crap that he brought to the table. Why would the AD want to bring someone else in that has their own baggage that they bring? He’s got to nail this hire or the program could go downhill. Jeff Howard isn’t exactly a home run hire and he has too much crap that he brings to the table for it to be worth while.

Why so cryptic. If you’ve got gossip on old Jeffrey let’s hear it out? I thought Jeff Howard was an odd suggestion since he doesn’t have the experience to qualify him to run a D1 program but let’s hear out the tea if you’ve got it.

wouldn't Boise State try to get alum and experienced coach Forest Braden (currect hc xc/distance at W&M) back to Idaho?
