Let's take this to its logical conclusion. Why not put all biological males and biological females together in races? Can't you just see Irene Riggs taking on Simeon Birnbaum? It'd be an epic back-n-forth 3200 race. What's holding race organizers back from making this happen?

That's inaccurate. There are few who directly claim that all differences are socially constructed. Also, the sex/gender distinction was popularized by Simone de Beauvoir in the Second Sex (1949).

The critical theorists combine Kant, Hegel, Marx, and Freud, with a bit of Nietzsche sometimes, and have nothing to do with gender or racial accounts, of which they say little or nothing. The postmodernists, who were French, not German, date from 1968 on (though active earlier, that is the conventional start-date) and the most famous were Deleuze, Foucault, and Derrida. Add on some figures who became prominent later like Lyotard and Baudrillard. They too had little or nothing to say about race or gender.

It may help to cut down barriers and stereotypes. Perhaps put an end to discrimination

Up until sectionals there wasn’t much of a reaction. Once they qualified, it became ugly, and like I said in a previous post, I doubt we’ll see them next year.
