Looks like Turkey, Finland, and Sweden have worked out issues regarding Finland and Sweden's NATO membership. Russia doesn't want NATO on its border, and now its border with NATO countries are set to double. Could Russia be a bigger failure at any level? 20k dead Russians to get the exact opposite result of what you they set out to achieve. Man, another 20k dead Russians and maybe Kazakhstan will be applying to join NATO.
1. Finland hasn't been slaughtering ethno-linguistic Russians for the past 8 years 2. Finland hasn't had Nazis in its army since WW2 3. Russia hasn't suffered 20k deaths, and won't if their operation takes another 2 years. 4. That you clearly WANT them to shows you're racist trash. Stay unregistered.
This you? Bad Wigins wrote: There's nothing going on in Ukraine lately, it's just another psyop. The purpose is to transition out of the covid psyop. Look at how many posters have sunk their teeth right into it and blabber all day long. It's entertainment. 🤡
US poised to enact a new law punishing African countries who do not side against Russia.
Despite talking up impending mass famine, it is said that buying grain from Russia could trigger punishments such as sanctions or curtailed/withdrawn foreign aid.
"...what is emerging is not so much a picture of the US targeting Africa because it voted the wrong way at the UN. Instead, it seems Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has sparked a new Cold War psychosis..."
419 - 9 in the House. (Yea = 98%) (Nay = pittance)
Bi-partisan anti-Russian sentiment is as high as ever. As high as its been since Russia attacked and invaded Ukraine, and as high as it's ever been in my lifetime, which goes back to 60s-70s Cold War. Hundreds of millions of Americans are absorbing this incredible surge in downright hated for America's perpetual number one enemy - Russia.
An entire generation of America children will be raised with a very dim view and complete distrust of Russia and its awful people. It will take a generation (30 years) for that to possibly diminish and the clock only starts AFTER Russia stops killing innocent Ukrainians. We are talking the 2050s before Americans might consider Russians part of humanity again (assuming Russia still exists in 2050s - I doubt Russia will last until the 2030s).
The nine House members voting against this bill to stick it to America's enemy Russia are the usual resentful hysterics; Boebert, Gomert, Greene, Biggs and a few others. (Even Gaetz voted Yea.)

You mad that ukrainians are getting slapped around a bit for misbehaving, bro?

A year or short years ago, China was the bogeyman. And will be again.
Like then, tariffs and sanctions meant to punish (for ill-treatment of Chinese Uygers) ended up hurting the American middle class more than anyone (due to higher prices and supply issues).
Then and now are really reflections of US and Western hegemonic protectionism than altruism.
In reality, America doesn't give a hoot about Muslim oppression or Ukraine, except for utilitarian purposes.
Staying a global superpower, or a mob don, means watching out for the competition and occasionally cutting it off at the knees.
Though in the case of China, the barn door was closed after the horse bolted.
Prevailing thought is they will become the world's No. 1 economy within 5 years.

You really are one of the most naive posters on here. You seem to have no grasp of what happens when large human forces are set in motion. They don't stop, Wig. It's momentive. You can't just call off the dogs of war. Finland is going to be in NATO now. Karelia and other Russian occupied holdings that were stolen from the Finns will now again belong to Finland by the end of this decade. There is nothing that can stop that. The only thing that could have stopped it was a decision made by Putin and his advisors in February. But now, alea jacta est.
The Tass explanation of the Kremenchuk mall disaster is ridiculous. It's claimed by Russian side that the mall accidentally caught fire after a nearby arms cache was struck.
While untrue, also untrue are oft-parroted Ukrainian claims that the mall was deliberately and savagely targeted in a precision strike designed to kill and terrorize civilians.
A large industrial plant is immediately beside the mall and was struck - with a second missile landing just outside the industrial plant and striking the mall. As the two missile strikes are about a half-kilometer apart, it's clear the Russian missiles lack precision.
PUTIN ASKS THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS: 1. Are there any sanctions against ISRAEL for the murder and destruction of innocent Palestinian women and children? 2. Are there any sanctions against AMERICA for killing and destroying lives of innocent women and children in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Cuba, Vietnam, and even stealing their diamonds and gold? 3. Were there any sanctions against AMERICA/FRANCE over the killing of Muammar Gaddaf and the destruction of Libya? 4. Has there ever been an American/NATO soldier ever been punished for raping and torturing innocent women/children of all the aforementioned countries? 5. Are there sanctions against FRANCE for causing crisis and unrest in several African countries? These are very war crimes America and NATO should be punished. Maybe it's time we understand that NATO, USA and all their allies are the most dangerous evils of our time. So we need to change the balance of power in the world and ensure everyone has equal rights and stop the oppressors.

“In Kremenchuk, Russian forces struck a weapons depot storing arms received from the United States and Europe with high-precision air-based weapons," Russia's defence ministry said in a daily statement on the war.
Are “high-precision” Russian missiles really that inaccurate that they missed their target by almost a km? Maybe.
Or, Russia used low-precision missiles, knowing in advance that there was a high likelihood of hitting the shopping center - a clear violation of the Geneva Conventions.
So, are Russians technologically incompetent liars? Or war criminal scum? Or both.

These questions are only important to you. In the real world, Russia is a failed has-been that has resorted to state-sponsored terrorism.

Alternatively, why didn’t Russia sanction these countries if they are now claiming to be the global arbitrators of good and evil?

It's fallacious and facetious to present only two choices, particularly extremes.
Let's not pretend your aim is to impartially uncover facts. Here and before, we see selective and twisted claims to smear the Russian side, for whom oft-expressed extreme hatred and repeatedly called for their torture, executions, and even mass genocide.
Prominent headlines and the Ukraine side mostly (or do) fail to mention an industrial plant being next to the mall and that having been struck and being the claimed and apparent target. As to weapons being there, we do not know and won't. We have no reporting from the strike at the plant - SOP is for Ukraine officials to ban access to reporters.
"Precision" here is best shown by the two missile strikes being significantly separated, with one completely missing its mark and one nearly so.
Your concern for Geneva conventions is hypocritical.
Human Rights Watch has been documenting abuses in the Ukraine (and elsewhere) for years. Not for one side only and recently.

That kind of vote means AIPAC is involved
The only mention I've seen recently of AIPAC is deep-pocket funding to defeat select Democrats in upcoming primaries.
The real point is more American hypocrisy on full display.
For weeks, we've been hearing about Russia weaponizing food with 50 million (mostly) Africans risking starvation.
But America has warned 14 African countries of slashed Aid and sanctions if they buy Russian "conflict grain".
Punishing poor countries trying to avoid famine is contemptuous.
I makes clear Western angst over Ukraine grain really has nothing to do with helping the third world.
