I wonder sometimes if there are just a handful of posters having conversations with themselves with various log ins. A couple of reasons to think this.

1. the vast majority of the population recognizes the value of sound medicine including vaccines. Yet this board is littered daily with antivax idiocy.

2. Each of these threads has the same exact tired arguments repeated over and over.

3. In real life, I have found the running community to be educated and reasonable. The opposite of this message board.

It’s amazing OP is still at it. I can’t keep up with him. I have too much stuff to do.

100 years from now society will laugh at the stupidity from this era. Covid will be a benchmark of hysteria for the next generation to learn and progress from.

Dude, I said this on the deleted thread, but how are you this stupid? The examples in that include a player who dropped out due to the ongoing air pollution issues which many players suffered from. Another is during an 86 degree, humid day, which you seem to insist was played on a day a week after it actually occurred so you can keep your narrative. A simple google search shows how beyond stupid that article you linked is.

Nope. He tried to get in shape again 5 years ago, but couldn't break 25 for a 5K. For a former 4:20 miler, that isn't very good. I mean, Fisky's out to lunch when it comes to Covid, but he's a seriously fast runner. C9, not so much. If he'd back away from his keyboard and run more, everyone would be a lot better off.

I'm solidly middle aged, possibly faster that you - I ran a quite credible 10K last fall - and I'm telling you, it's really dumb not to get vaccinated. The odds of a bad outcome start going up in middle age, and having Covid ruin running for most of a year (I did that last year, too) isn't much fun at all.

Yes...it is in this day & age. For those that are in top physical shape, eat a healthy whole-foods diet & take supplements the definition of "middle-age" has changed. For example, 50s is the new 40s, 60s is the new 50s, 70s is the new 60s...and so forth.

There are 70 yr olds in my running club that run most people half their age into the ground. There are 70 yr olds at the gym I work out at who are bodybuilding/powerlifting & look like Hercules! I've also seen 70 yr old cyclists tear up the Rocky Mts climbing like Billy Goats.

It's a whole new ballgame out there with super fit boomers. 💪
