Will there be any non-power 5 head coaches in consideration for any of these p5 jobs that are gonna be opening? There's gotta be a few with p5 experience that could be in the running. Tennessee seems to be coming open this summer with Beth's contract not getting renewed. Any other contracts up this summer?

Her body of work at Tennessee is not good compared to her predecessors. Clark won 2 national titles there and got fired. She catches a good year every now and then with hired international guns or transfers, but has never developed a full roster who came together and competed for a conference or national title at a school with great history of both. Elite development has been lacking or inconsistent. She does have some elite assistants. Its not that hard to win at Tennessee if you have a consistent plan. Many have done before. Great city, great facility, great history, great recruiting location, and great campus. Also academics are really strong. Tennessee could attract an elite coach if they wanted.

JJ Clark was let go after scoring one point in his last four NCAA Championships. Two totally different situations.
Their lack of an indoor facility has them behind the 8 ball. 3rd in the NCAA is pretty good all things considered.

Middle of the pack? I applaud BAS for their recent success. 3rd indoors, 9th & 11th last year. Not many beat that.

I'm curious what the admin at Tennessee values the most. 3rd at NCAA indoor is nice, but outdoors last spring the men were 6th and women 9th at SECs. A couple of stud athletes can get you 3rd at NCAA, but they can't overcome deficiencies when the full team competes.
BAS has a history of both success and struggling with relationships with athletes. This happened at PSU and happened as soon as she got to UT. There could be more to a BAS decision than just indoor NCAA place....SEC results, behind-the-scenes actions, etc...
