Israel is now perceived more negatively than any other country in the world, followed by North Korea, Afghanistan and Iran, according to new global polling published by Nira Data as part of its 2026 democracy and country perception research. The five most positively perceived countries were Switzerland, Canada, Japan, Sweden and Italy. The findings place Israel at the bottom of the Global Country Perceptions 2026 ranking, a survey of 46,667 respondents assessing how 129 countries and three international organisations are viewed around the world. The ranking was published alongside Nira Data’s 2026 Democracy Perception Index, which surveyed 94,146 respondents across 98 countries on how citizens experience democracy in their own countries.
your vile anti semitic rants are having the intended effect and empowering terrorists
Facts sure do trigger you. You may consider some introspection
Interesting when the NY Times publishes an article 2 years late about Israelis sexually assaulting Palestinian hostages the lobby tries to resurrect all the bs claims from october 7th. THERE IS NO DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE ON OCTOBER 7TH YET WE HAVE VIDEOS OF ISRAELIS ACTUALLY DOING THIS CRIME.
Vs. the claims of a handful of Israeli hostages while most of the hostages say no such thing.
See the difference? Probably not
I’m not sure why you want to die on this hill. Hamas should be hunted down for what they did, including to the hostages. That, of course, does not excuse the Israeli war crimes or other crimes.

Huh? What hill is that? The one where Israelis can rape detainees without consequence? Kill tens of thousands of kids in Gaza. Invade Lebanon? All paid for by us

newname appears to think it is merely justice when when israeli civilian women get raped and murdered.

When did that happen? Because I oppose Israel's raping detainees and mass killing kids and invading Lebanon -- all paid for by us -- I must like Israeli women getting raped? Want to walk me thru that logic?
At the Trump/Xi summit, China agreed not to provide Iran with military aid, agreed that Iran should not have a nuke and that Iran must open the Strait of Hormuz and not charge tolls. This is apparently part of a deal where Trump will give China some concessions on Taiwan. TBD. Xi was pretty harsh in warning Trump about Taiwan. The pledge to not provide Iran with military aid is party BS because Iran has domestic manufacturing capabilities and will probably still get lots of dual use and raw materials from China. And China really doesn't want to send any advanced weapons systems to Iran.
Reports are that a few Chinese flagged vessels were allowed through the Strait. The US/Iran slap fight in the Strait continued with Iran seizing a vessel and an Indian flagged vessel sunk after being attacked.
The global oil reserve cushion that has been keeping prices from going off the charts is starting to look very shaky. The IEA reported that global stockpiles fell by 250 mil barrels in March and April. India is in a very bad spot as they have lost 40% of their crude imports and are running out of room to draw down reserves to prevent shortages. IEA also claims that more than 14 mil bpd have been shut in in the GCC.

There are no detailed reports of their back and forth, but the context seems to suggest “we won’t give Iran weapons or military support and you don’t give Taiwan weapons or military support.” It also doesn’t seem like China was suggesting, they were drawing red lines. And as you said, they don’t give Iran much. This is potentially a big L for Taiwan (and the US, more generally, since we are no longer a source of deterrence.. and the illusion of our military might has been debunked).

I doubt that China bent to Trump demands in any way

Trump has made pretty serious concessions for this. I hope he hasn't betrayed Taiwan, that would be the end of US supremacy. But Trump wants Cuba so what other bargaining chip does this loser have?
This town constantly changes hands. Hezbollah takes it over, launches a bunch of rockets and then Israel wipes it out. It happened in 1978, 1982-2000 (under Israeli occupation), 2006 and again in 2026. Will probably happen again in the 2040s.
